Scratched my stainless steel appliances

Definitely not scratch proof,I just cleaned my stainless steel appliances and scratched the whole face of my oven! So aggravated and annoyed.

The scrubbing dot is now my go to sponge and scrubber in one. First because it is the type of sponge that I like, and that gets harder to find these days. Second, and most important is that unlike other products there is no open weave in the scrubbing surface for food to get stuck in. This has always been a complaint with other products and now - problelm solved. I can clean the scrubber and spone to my satisfaction after cleaning my pots and pans. As for my non-stick pans, I just use the spong...

Cleans really well!

Fits hands well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this to try for my honest opinion . I liked the color and texture until I put it in the washer. It changes it and it is never as soft as it was like when I first got it. It is good with a couple stuck on foods but not on the tough black ones from foods like sausage. Hamburger etc. I also have to wash after 2 days use as ot then stinks.

Scratched ALL of our dishes

These sponges might be great for cleaning bathrooms, tools, hardware, etc, but they are NOT suitable for dishes. They scratched every one of our dishes before we realized it was happening and stopped. Nice drinking glasses, silverware, knives..it left scratch marks on everything.

Ruined Silverware

3M please make the HEAVY DUTY more prominent in your packaging. These will scratch silverware!!! Not made for everyday use. I had been using the blue version with no issue then bought these and now all our silverware had microfine scratches instead of the polished look it had before. Really disappointed.

Save your money

These may not scratch, but they sure don't clean. Tried them because the store was out of the scotch brite non abrasive sponges (great product) May be the worst cleaning product I have ever seen.

Excellent Value and Sturdy

Scratches stainless steel pans!

Bought a brand new set of beautiful stainless steel pans and these scrub sponges say for pots and pans. Well it scratched the heck out of my pans and now I have to buy a new set. So disappointed.

Ruined my silverware

This is bizarre. I don't usually write reviews but for this sponge, after just using this once, it created weird round symmetrical scratches/patterns on my silverware that I can't explain. This happened to all the stainless steel items that I was washing. Unfortunately I won't be using this anymore. Can't afford to ruin more of my silverware. So sad.

Durable!

I have always used thier blue sponges for nonstick cookwear, but these seem to work much better and are more comfortable in your hand with the curves. I also find that I can use it in the tricky corners better than the other sponges.

Scrubby Sponge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a free sample from 3M. I really like the sponge side, but I think the scrubby side is too abrasive for using in the kitchen. Would be good for outdoor use, for scrubbing the grill, for example. The size of the sponge fits perfect in my hand.

Didn't do everything I'd hoped

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sponges are nice for general cleaning purposes, but they didn't do what I had hoped at oven cleaning. I tried a non-toxic method of oven cleaning (vinegar and baking soda left to soak overnight) and hoped these sponges would then get the grime off the next day, but got only marginal results.

Works well on many surfaces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Scotch-Brite® Scrub Dots Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge free to review. There were 2 in the package and I took one home and took one to a house I am renovating. I used the one at home in the kitchen to clean and wash plates and also to clean the granite sink. It worked very well, but wore out a little sooner than expected. I am still using the one at the other house and I used it to take paint specks off of a porcelain sink and it worke...

This sponge works great. Scrubs without damage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this sponge! I use it every day. The sponge side works great, has not shredded at all. The scrub dots side I had doubts, thought it might be too gentle. But it really works and does NOT scratch any surface from plates, to glasses, to glass stove tops, etc.

More durable!

I think I like these better than the regular scotch brite sponge but can't it be more rectangular. I do not like the funny shape.

Another great 3M product
