With all the great consumer report reviews of this vacuum, I am seriously disappointed in its lack of longevity. We’ve only had it 3 years and the brush no longer works properly, it doesn’t vacuum as well as advertised…and doesn’t navigate well... Even with regular maintenance and cleaning. We had an LG robot vacuum for 7 years before this one and it was going strong when we decided to get this one. For the amount we paid for this, we could have kept the LG robot vacuum and hired a house cleaner...

worked fine for a few months, not constant c03 error code something caught in the right wheel but there isn't anything there. cleaned sensors and checked wiring but still same code.. seems to be a bug in the mother board which for the price its unfortunate.

Not what we hoped for

we've had the product for almost a year. we use it in a small hard surface living room/kitchen. we have 3 dogs and 2 cats. the product claimed to be great for pet hair but it clogs so quickly that we can't leave it alone for more then 15-20 mins. it also completely misses spots and numerous times has tried to dock with the docking station only to end up on it backwords/sideways.

Can't ever return to charging station

this vacuum has never found it's way back to the charging station in the 18 months i've owned it. it will spin around in large circles about 10 times and then shut down. this is my second vacuum because the motor on the first one (a different model) died, but that vacuum always found it's way back, so i think this one was a lemon.

Wonderful when it isn't destroying itself!

cleans great and is quiet in 'quiet' mode. we have 80% wood/tile and 20% rug. we have owned our r7070 for just over a year and the roller/brush has destroyed itself twice now. for $600, it's hard to justify another $70 every year of ownership. and if you cannot find the replacement part, you have a very expensive paperweight. it's good when it works, but i cannot recommend due to how often the roller/brush gets destroyed.

Gets the job done!

this is the third robot vacuum that i have bought and the first one that actually gets the job done. i have five dogs and two cats so i ask a lot of a vacuum. this one i have set to run every night at midnight on my first floor and it does a great job. my only complaint is that i have to empty it every night because the holder of the material is tiny. but it does a great job – super happy i finally found this one!

the 2 brushes sold on website for about $30 are not compatible with this model. can't find the brush on samsungparts website either. you can call and order it over the phone for $90 (are you kidding me?) but they won't give you the part number for you to try to search and buy it yourself. if you buy this crap, pray that nothing needs replacement.

this is my third powerbot. as each one fails within a few months, goes back for service three times and is eventually refunded, we have gone up a level in model. this one lasted 8 months before making a loud noise and eventually refusing to suction. it was under warranty so it was repaired (something about the motor brush) but i have little confidence it will stay functional for long. it does a great job vacuuming intelligently but only when it’s not broken...

Terrible. Ruined furniture

even though i bought this to replace my roomba based on consumer report ratings, this vacuum was terrible from the start. it constantly got caught on the fireplace even with the magnetic strips to prevent it. lots of furniture damage, too. sofa & chair legs, a sofa table, kitchen molding. it daily got stuck somewhere. cleaning was okay. i finally went out and bought a new roomba & i'm happy again.

Dead after 18 months

We got this vacuum about 18 months ago. We used it sparingly. After using it today, I smelled burning electronics and it stopped moving. It showed a C-03 error and now it won't hold a charge. This costs far too much for 18 months of infrequent use. When it did work, it only did a decent job and would require multiple attempts to vacuum a room. It seemed to take forever to do its job. Dead after warranty expired

here my story. we bought this robot a little bit more than a year ago. in 11 months one wheel dead, so robot circle around in one place. we were lucky that the warranty was still there, so samsung repaired it for free. in 3 more months the main motor is dead, so robot just walk around and do not vacuum anything, no sound, just like silent ninja. so i'm not recommend it at all. too many defects for such a short time.
