What Customers Are Saying
This versatile corded router offers good power and performance for a variety of woodworking projects. Key positives include convenient features like variable speed control and easy bit changes, as well as solid build quality. However, some users noted issues with the dust collection, collet, and depth/speed controls when used in a router table. Overall, it provides a capable set of features and capabilities for DIY and hobby use at an affordable price point, though certain design aspects could be improved.

Would RecommendIt is a good, reliable tool. It comes with two bases—a fixed base and a plunge base—which makes this router highly versatile. It also features a digital display for motor speed. This is a handy feature when using the router in handheld mode. However, when mounting the router in a router table, you have to either reach underneath the table or detach the router from the fixed base (which remains clamped to the table) in order to adjust the speed setting. It would have been excellent if Skil had de...

Awesome addition to the tool collection
Would RecommendPicked this router up because of its adjustable rpm setting. Formally being a cnc machinist, majority of the time routing bits get worn out quickly by being ran too slow or too fast and this really let me narrow it down depending on the bit types and materials I was routing. The kit comes with a plunge router adapter and a guide rail. The guide rail is a little flimsy but other than that it's an awesome tool.

Best budget friendly router!
Would RecommendThe ease of use. It was convenient to fit both 1/4 and 1/2 inch collate since I already had a few router bits for my previous palm router.

First use...failed.
I have no doubt that this router package is a quality product with excellent features. My first effort to use it was met with an immediate disappointment. I tried installing a 1/2" round over bit and to my surprise I couldn't. The base plate opening being too small to accommodate the bits largest diameter. I use several round over bits and the 1/2" is nearly the smallest. Not a deal breaker at all but... Does Skil make additional base plates? Does anyone know what additional base plates w...

Works well for me
Hobbiest woodworker. I've been using my old Sears router for many years (and still do) and my family thought this would be a great upgrade and they were correct. Good weight, many options and accurate. I haven't figured all it's tricks yet, but I can tell this will do what ever I need. - And later I did invest in the Skil router table. Great combo.

Speed control module
Would Not RecommendI bought the skil RT1322 last year worked flawlessly two times the third time I used it and had it set at 15,000 RPMs it lost power and it will only go to 10,000 RPMs because the speed control module is going bad. so I was going to replace it and found out skil discontinued this part.
Great value and great quality.
Would RecommendIve been using it quite a bit and its been amazing so far. Easy to use and both bases work exactly as they should. I would 💯 recommend this to diy or professionals.
