Great product

Removes surface rust fast.

It honestly works.

It was so easy to use. I had bought some metal support beans for underneath my house. They started to rest before I could use them. I have four of them and it would’ve taken too long to sand so I decided to buy this rust remover. I thought I would have to sand them, but to my surprise it removed all the rust. I will always choose them if I have a rest issue.

Worked extremely well. Dissolved the rust as advertised.

Really removes rust

The product is gel and it stays in place. It really removes rust. Wet the surface and apply in the rust. Wait 15 minutes and rinse off. Use a Brillo pad for stubborn rust. May require a second treatment. Use gloves

Not Impressed

I tried this product on a rusty box end wrench. The results were less than impressive. I cleaned the tool as directed, applied the gel, and allowed it to sit for about 45 minutes. Some small amount of rust came off when I wiped it clean, but no more than regular wiping would.

A rust remover that works.

I am currently rebuilding an classic truck and was looking for a good rust remover for the internal cab parts before priming and painting. I was eager to try the Rust-Oleum First Dissolver. I tested it on the under-seat rear cup holder and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It removed most of the rust without having to scrape or wire brush. I just sprayed the gel on the rusty metal and spread with a plastic brush. Left it on for about 20 minutes and wiped off with a rag.

Doesn’t seem to help much

I tested this on a rusty piece of box tubing. The gel spray is easy to apply. I applied and then reapplied it a few times over 1 hour and 15 minutes. The result was not a lot changed. The last coat of gel I apply I used sand paper to rub it on. The sand paper helped the most. It the future I’ll just stick with my wire brush.

Easy and effective

I have wanted to be able to choose a product to review for Lowes Loop and thought I had a good use for this one. My bike sits in a shed, mostly unused, and had developed some rust on the handlebars. After reading the instructions on the bottle I took a small wire brush and lightly ran it over the rusted areas. No hard scrubbing at all. Gel spray product that works

Received product in good condition. The spray is a gel, not liquid form. There are two functions to the spray, basically on and off. If you read the instructions, the company basically says to remove all dirt, grease, and clean before use. I simply applied the gel, spread it on the tool, and gave it 30 minutes. The results were ok, but did not overimpress me. The product did work, but to get great results I think the prep is more than its worth to use this on tools. I normally just wire wheel ...

This is the Real Deal, This works

I have tried many rust remover products before. From gel to spray in different variations. This trust dissolver is the real deal. This said thirty minutes. Used to remove rust on true spoke wheels, keep it wet and let it set and do the work all by its self. WOW!

Amazing & magical rust dissolver gel spray!

I decided to try out this rust dissolver gel spray for the first time & was quite amazed! I had more than a few things that came to mind when I thought of dissolving & removing rust.
