Nice Design but Iffy Quality

Would Not Recommend

Size and design are nice, but floor plastic is too soft - bends/sags easy. Also both plastic upper hinges broke quickly due to wind, and now I'm trying to figure out a better metal solution.

Needs A lot of prep work

This was not an easy shed to assemble as many aspects commonly ready such as punched hole and ready channels had to be prepared. Front aspect od shed a bit shaky and required additional brace. This could be frustrating for first time assembler. It looks good, but the designs needs to be more user friendly.

Nice Design, but Assembly Can Be Frustrating

Would Recommend

We bought this shed to fill a need on the back patio for more storage. It's packed well, and the instructions are clear enough, but there were a few frustrating moments. First off, everywhere you need to install screws, it would help if it were pre-drilled or a pilot hole was there. Otherwise, the big fat screws provided don't get enough bite to self-feed. Secondly, the door hinges have a post that fit into the base. The instructions don't tell you to knock out the hole where the post fits. The ...

Nice shed overall, but it needs some reworking!

Would Recommend

The shed gets an overall rating of 4 stars from me, despite a design flaw. I have built and assembled more things than I care to ever recount, so this isn't my first rodeo. The overall function and features are good! The sliding roof provides easy access to 2 bales of hay (100lbs each), a bag of wood shavings, feed pellets, and alot of other horse tack with some room to spare. The assembly process, not including building a suitable base, was around 2 hours (most of that time was spent installing...

cheap

Would Not Recommend

It was a decent price and the right product for my needs, but the craftsmanship is quite poor. The metal rod that locks the left door into the base to close it requires some special ingenuity to actually fit through the opening it's made for. The first time I tried I broke a hinge. I got a free replacement, which was nice, but the hinge broke again when he had a strong wind. The wind actually ripped the door off. The shed is mostly plastic with some metal parts where needed - well, the hinges sh...

Quality does not match appearance

Would Not Recommend

My adult son assembled this shed for me and he will write the review: ASSEMBLY I saw one review saying it took 60 minutes to assemble and I found this preposterous. Maybe if you're a professional shed assembler with gold medals in shed assembly it would take this long. For me it took pretty much 6 hours with a few breaks (not including preparation of installation surface) and I have successfully assembled many things in the past, including one other shed made by another brand. I was able to do ...

Awsome

Would Recommend

The slide lid shed is the best idea. It is so easy to get stuff in and out of, so convenient. As usual, it can stand up to most weather and does not rust.

Nice Looking but horribly designed

Would Not Recommend

The plastics that made rubbermaid so popular are absent from this product. First of all, the product is extremely difficult to put together. I've seen better instructions on a Chinese to English translated instructions. Second, all of the plastics are sub par. This thing is not built to last a season much less a years. Third, you guessed it. My hinges broke too. The hinge is made out of a 2 mm thick plastic between the hinge post and the attachment to the structure. This molded plastic line is...

Don't Buy This!!!

Would Not Recommend

I bought this shed less than 30 days ago. Both doors have already broken off through normal use. One broke at the cheap plastic hinge, the other split at the seam. It looks nice, but is a bad product.

Disappointment

Would Not Recommend

I share the same negative opinion already expressed in posts here. What has me completely baffled is the change in design from one that was appealing to one that's cheap and cheezy. At my local big box store the original version is out on display but what you get is the new version. My thought after an hour of working on this kit is that the store doesn't even have the time to put one of these together. Go figure. I needed a shed with this footprint and I hope that Rubbermaid does the right th...

don.t buy it

Would Not Recommend

I too had another Rubbermaid slide top mini shed and love it so I ordered 2 more. I received the NEW one. Well new is not better. It takes much longer to put together and is more complicated. it is flimseyer and appears to be made more cheaply. The other one is thicker and stronger and holds up well . We need one so we will go through the pain of putting it together after we make the base totally flat which is a must with this item, and will be returning the other one and looking for a mini shed...

Good Shed

Would Recommend

Just finished building the shed. The shed is put together with about 90 screws, which you have to drill. Get a good electric screwdriver. Well over half the screws were very dull and took forever to go through the plastic. One solution is to get a slightly smaller diameter wood screw that is very sharp, and drill pilot holes. This speeds up the drilling dramatically. Make sure that the base is level - use a level if you are putting the shed on bare ground. Shed holds my lawn mower, edger, shopva...

Setup well

Product setup relatively easy... It took about 1 1/2 hours and is better with two people. I was a little disappointed because it seems a bit flimsy... But we'll see how it holds up to the weather.

original Slide Lid Shed a better product

Would Not Recommend

was looking for a small shed to mainly store 2 bike + bike racks during winter times, local big box store had the original Slide Lid Shed on display, which I played with a few times, liked and decided to purchase, but when I pick it up, it's a "New" Slide Lid Shed, which I thought would mean a better product, so I hauled it home and started working on it, and here's what I've found original Slide Lid Shed - thicker plastic, bigger pieces#fewer parts#, roof in 2 pieces, 1hr assembly, feels sturd...

perfect fit

Would Recommend

This shed fits nicely in a corner under my deck. Great for my lawnmower and wheel-barrel and other gardening tools. I like the low height because the shed is relatively unobtrusive. with the slide-back roof, I can easily store and reach items in the back. I plan to install shelving on the supplied hooks on the back wall. I did not secure the doors last week, and a strong wind blew back the left front door. The top holding bracket snapped. I've just ordered a new one. the reinstall will require h...
