Time Will Tell If This Tree Ring Works
I just installed these tree ring around my fruit trees to keep away the weeds, so I can't really give an honest review of the product. However, with regards to installation, it was much too easy. Another thing, since these are made of recycled rubber, I hope that the water will find its way to the roots of my fruit trees.
Tree ring controls weeds, but lets trees grow
Would RecommendI had previously purchased this product, and found it does what it is supposed to (controls weeds), while looking good and allowing the tree to grow. The similar construction gutter drain spout deflector also works well. They are heavy enough to stay put in high winds, and don't degrade over time. Hurricane Michael's 160 mile/hr winds uprooted my trees and sent the associated tree rings into the next county. I planted replacement magnolias, but was unable to find the Rubberific tree rings. Easy tree and bush bed ring

Doesn't work with bermuda grass
Would Not RecommendBermuda Grass grows up through these tree rings. It is almost impossible to remove them once the grass and roots get imbedded in them. Big mess and a waste of money and time.
I've used these before & found them very helpful in managing areas around small trees where I don't want grass.
