Should have stuck with my Roku 3, this new one overheats. They have an extension cable to fix the issue but seems like a major design flaw

Terrible speed

I have three of these on each of the TVs in different locations in the house. With fiber running to the house and fast connections to every other device in the house, these three Rokus are constantly buffering. If you hate yourself and love to watch movies 30 seconds at a time before having to buffer, buy one. I used to love Roku.. it's a shame.

Horrible

This device worked for a few months and then all of a sudden says low battery ... so I plugged into a power outlet. That resolved that issue but now it constantly says not connected ... even though the internet works and nothing else is off line. I tried everything and this is only 6 months old and is awful. It hasn’t been working after resetting and restarting, unplugging 100 times. Awful awful!

Upset with Device

We have this model and it’s plugged into the back of our tv, and not into the outlet. Keeps giving a message saying “Low Power” after watching a show for 30 minutes the message would reappear and we would have to turn off the tv.

roku made a difference in my home

I purchased my first roku stick about three years ago while living in florida, it was a new adventure for me, it provided for a new way of watching television for my wife and me. I enjoyed it so much i researched when i needed a new Television and opted to get a TCL/ROKU television to continue my experience in my home on all my tvs. I find it easy to operate for were not tech savy at all. My nights are full of entertainement all provided by roku.

Overheats within 20 minutes

This product has poor thermal design. After watching a 4K program for 20 minutes, I received a warning on my tv that my Roku is overheating. It’s plugged into the back of my TV as it is designed to do. It’s not inside of a cabinet and it has plenty of ventilation. I’ve had previous generations of Roku’s and I’ve never had a problem like this. If they’re going to sell my information to advertisers the least they could do is design a device that works properly.

Not so good

Keeps overheating and interrupts shows for a restart. Do not like this roku, I have the express on another tv and works far better than this stick. Will not buy the roku streaming stick again.

Roku Streaming Stick

I had a for more than a year. This a good product it is small and easy to setup. Overheating is the main issue I have during summer time. My Samsung TV use a smart box for connection which is mean to hide all the wire underneath the TV, but with the Roku stick it get over heating warning after 2 hours of uses if the indoor temperature is reaches around 70-75 F.

Yes I would definitely recommend welcome I have three of them TVs and they’re all easy to use and top right and I was a good connection

TV keeps going onto Buffer mode and RLP-999: unable to complete request, were sorry unable to complete request, please try again later. Reference code:PLP-999 TV then shuts down. I have a second Roku on another tv that works fine.

I bought this a couple of months ago and it's made using my tv so much better. No more need for 2 remotes to use roku

NO BUFFERING

We had issues with the old Roku buffering and dropping shows. The issue is gone now.

Faster

Bought it a couple of days ago and I notice the difference in how fast it responds, it will depend also with your wifi. Also, love the that you have 4K option
