Easy to install

I came right out of the side of my panel. It took about 15 minutes to drill the hole and mount the box and another 10 minutes to wire it up. Before I saw this box I purchased a box and receptacle with a cord and cord adapters. I returned that material as the prefabricated cord and this box were less expensive and much easier to install.

Generator Power Inlet Box installation

During installation, insulate the knock out plug with a plastic bushing, you'll have to file the edge where the knock out was welded to get the bushing to fit. The wire I used was 10/3 with a ground and a 30 amp breaker. I had to move 2 single breakers to the top of my panel to install the 30 amp close to the Main, to be able to install an interlock. Delivery was quick and the price was fair.

Simple Easy Rugged

I installed one of these boxes in conjunction with a transfer switch to power my panel with a generator. Very simple straight forward design. The materials are of decent quality. It works plain and simple. The cord attaches and is held in place. I have approximately 30 hours of use on the box and it has been installed for 14 months. If you are looking to power your whole house with load management or a transfer switch/panel at 30 Amps, this is the way to go.

Generator Connection Box

Purchased this so I would not have to run ext cords thru my window to avoid carbon monoxide entering the house. I thought the price was a little high at $50 but this box is well constructed .

the box is well made, and relatively easy to put together, having the plug grounded with a stranded wire is a great idea, this flexibility takes strain of the receptacle

Box could be bigger

Quick and easy install, but I used 8GA. for pigtails, since I had it left over from a previous project. Oversized wire made it a little tough to fit everything in box. Would have been easier if I had used 10 gauge. Other than that, great!
