Would RecommendThese banister supports are a little more substantial than the ones originally supplied in my house by the builder (2 originals have already failed). Installing these have given us a much more secure feeling navigating the stairs to our basement rooms now. Easy to install, with longer screws than the original. Just make sure all three screws go into the wall studs behind the wallboard.
