Would RecommendI bought this a few weeks ago. So far I have been able to dig out a rosebush & the roots of some weed trees that my regular garden spade couldn’t touch. I’m pretty old & rickety & usually have to wait for a younger relative but this let me dig without the strain.

Would RecommendWorks as described. It took a while to find one available but I'm glad I waited. This is less expensive than the competition and I can't imagine how it would be outperformed. It cuts through thick roots just fine and is sturdy enough to pry loose soil. This style of shovel should not be used for heavy duty prying of roots and boulders. In combo with a regular shovel for that task, no job is too tough to get through.
