Would RecommendSo I bought this ceiling mount fixture, found that it was too long, I needed a shorter one , ut could not find one, so to shorten it I used my cut off grinder and boom it fits great. the fixture is sturdy and easy to install, and the rework on the fixture the integrity of the unit is still there and working. Good product.

Would RecommendEasy installation…. perfect solution for our needs. Took down a very old ceiling fan that was attached to the ceilings joist. So basically the fan had no box just a hole in the ceiling where the wires hung out.

Great fanlight / large light mounting electric box
Would RecommendJust the ticket if you're installing a ceiling fan over a joist in an existing ceiling with limited access. The stud does take up some space, but was still able to wire up a fanlight with a remote control.

For retrofits with ENGINEERED FLOOR JOISTS
Product was exactly what I needed for a retrofit light fixture installation, with engineered floor joists, HOWEVER the bracket that fastens the box to the bracket does not cinch up tightly to keep the box from having any movement. While it is secure to hold the weight, it's only a 4 out of 5 star experience.
