What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this metal electrical box for its exceptional durability and sturdy galvanized steel construction, making it ideal for heavy-duty applications like ceiling fan installations and junction boxes. Reviewers consistently highlight the robust build, easy knockout removal with basic tools, and convenient pre-drilled screw holes with designated ground screw location. Many specifically commend its suitability for heavy ceiling fans and appreciate its code-compliant design and versatility across attic junctions, basement remodels, and recessed lighting upgrades. A few note that included mounting screws occasionally run short for certain fixtures. Overall, customers consider it a reliable, well-constructed choice for demanding electrical work.

Binding Threads

Screw holes not properly threaded I had to re-thread the screw holes to be able to screw into the box. All of the boxes I checked, would not let me screw in the small screws by hand at the store. I was replacing a box because I broke the screw trying to screw into the box. The new box would have done the same. So I had to re-tap the threads in the box. I spend $30 for a set of taps to fix a $2.50 box.

Everything was waiting in a shopping cart when I checked in. Wheeled the same cart out to the lot (spools of wire are kinda heavy). Quick and easy.
