Would RecommendIt does a great job. I love that I did not have to get in the attic to install the brace to support a fan and light. I didn’t get the first situated correctly on the sheet rock and 2x4’s. When I tightened it the pressure was against a leg and it broke one off.

Awesome Product
Would RecommendNo more finding the spot you want and then moving to the closest rafter to nail in a box that will almost be where you want it. This box is on a screwed rod that extends in between rafters and locks in tight. More importantly, you can locate the box exactly where you want it.
Glad to read that the product met your needs. Thank you for you review of the RACO ceiling brace and the positive rating..

Easy to install
Would RecommendThe product is strong and as described. The one negative is the screw holes aren't recessed. They should've added another pair to accommodate more lights. That's why the four stars. Note on drilling a 4.25 inch hole. Make sure the circular bit is going in reverse (the same direction as if you were removing a screw) so the bit won't stick and cause the drill to fly out of your hands. Damaging the drywall and maybe somebody else.
