The box is incredible easy to install. However, the hole I mounted the box in is slightly larger on one side and with the fan installed the box will rock (round clamp on a round brace). It caused my fan to slip out of its holder and almost onto the floor after a week of use!

Would RecommendThis worked out perfectly! I used these to replace two ceiling lights with ceiling fans. The builders used cheap plastic electrical boxes secured to a rafter with only one nail and some glue. I did not feel comfortable mounting ceiling fans to those in my kid’s rooms. These steel remodel electrical boxes worked out great! The mounting bracket is very solid and gave me the ability to use three very hefty screws. Would RecommendYou never know what a homeowner or yourself is going to mount to a ceiling box. These boxes saddle the joist and allow for a much higher load to be affixed such as HUGE ceiling fans by putting the box and fixture mounting screws directly into the joist rather than a standard box nailed to the side of a joist. Highly recommend.
