Good, Just Not What We Needed

We needed to pump some water out of the crawl space and this wouldn't fit in the space, so we had to return it. But it looks useful for other purposes.

Great Product and Fast for a hand pump!

This week was the coldest that the Chicagoland has seen in 20plus years. I needed a pump to transfer Diesel Fuel into another truck. I went everywhere in my area and bought small pumps but it was to cold to use those. I landed at Lowes and stumbled across this pump i figured I didnt have much to lose at this point. I tried this pump on my sump pump and it worked great! I took no time at all to pump several gallons of water.

Useful for my husband's job

Husband delivers fuel and when it rains water fills the connection opening - uses pump to insure no water gets in fuel

Works great once I discovered you need the cap on. I have to admit I didn't figure that out by myself. After being unhappy that I couldn't get it to work I started reading reviews. Fortunately one of the reviewers was kind enough to inform us of that. I bet I wasn't the only one though that didn't figure that out myself.

Handles broke in 15 minutes, TWICE!

This pump has great potential. It pumps a large amount of water quickly. However, the T-handle snapped off after about 15 minutes. Lowes replaced the first pump with another when I explained what happened. Then the second pump's handle also broke off after about 10 minutes of use. I am a small woman and I was not using excessive force. I was able to continue the pumping job by gripping the shaft with rubber gloves, but a functioning handle would have made the job much easier.

Worked fine for 1 week then into 2nd week the plunger came apart. Lasted 2 weeks. Very disappointed.

Constant pumping required to transfer liquid. Wish it would hold a syphon after flow starts.

Compliments your upper body workout!

It works great! I needed something to move some scummy water out of a deep container and it pumped the water out along with debris that had accumulated in the water without any problem. I was afraid some other models which had smaller outlet tubes than the intake tube might end up with some of the debris getting caught, but I didn't have this problem. I also liked that the tube was longer (6.5 feet long) than some other models that I looked at so it could transfer the water over some other obs...

Works as advertised

Not much to it really. Simple to use and works as it should.

Manual Backup for Sump Pump

Works great! Stick the tube in the sump, the hose in the laundry tray and pump.

Gets the job done.

I needed a pump to suck up some water. It did what it was supposed to do.

Broke in 15 minutes

What a pile of garbage. Like many plumbing problems this was bought for an emergency. No needless to say I was not happy when the top T handle broke off about 5 minutes into pumping, 20 minutes after I bought it. On the way to return it now. I'm a big dude but I cant imagine I was pumping any harder than anyone else would in an emergency.

Boat pump

Utilize this hand pump as a secondary pump to remove water from bilge on my boat. This unit is light weight. Easy to assemble and to operate. The discharge hose is extra long. Making it useable on boat free boards.

Bought this 'just in case'. . . 'just in case arrived with two days of heavy rain. The level of water in one well window was almost dangerous. This light weight, simple to use tool became worth its weight in gold. Saved the day.
