Switch is good and tight, but the base threads were to small. My lamp had larger stud so had to use old base with new socket and switch. really didn't need the shade holder, but the socket was better with the set than sockets without it. Jesus saves!

Easy to use for replacement
Would RecommendHad a desk lamp with broken switc or something - would not turn on. This replacement kit was easy to use, and easy to replace what had been in place. It even 'upgraded' the light to a three-way switch with this kit. The only thing I could not use was hte lamp-shade stand as the lamp was a different style. Well worth the price to be able to keep a beautiful older lamp in use.

Lamp rewiring kit
Would RecommendThis kit has everything you need to completely rewire, re-socket and re-harp a lamp. The only thing you might need is some felt to replace the old, dried out felt on the bottom of the lamp. I use this kit even if I'm only re-wiring a lamp. Gives the lamp a "complete" new look.

Easy replacement and it works like new now. About $10 to save a $120 lamp. I'm happy and more importantly Momma is happy.
