What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this shovel as lightweight and perfectly sized for children to participate in gardening and yard tasks independently. Many appreciate its affordability and simple design. However, a substantial portion report the shovel bends or breaks easily under moderate pressure, with the metal head and shaft described as flimsy and unsuitable for actual digging in hard soil. Some note it works only for soft soil or pretend play. A few mention it feels smaller than expected or lacks a non-slip handle. Overall, reviewers recommend it primarily as a child's toy tool rather than a functional digging implement.

Great starter shovel for kids
Would RecommendThis shovel was just the right height for a five year old. It doesn't hold much soil, which helps them to be able to lidt a shovelful of soil. Great introduction shovel for kids who want to help meaningfully with yard work.
No Frills, Suitable for Children Only
Would RecommendThis isn't the shovel you are going to use to dig out that stump...its the shovel your kids can use to dig in their sand box. As long as you are going into it knowing that, you should be pretty pleased. I am a little disappointed that the handle doesn't have a grip on it, would make it much more functional in my opinion. Otherwise, getting a small shovel for extremely light duty work or child's play.
Kid approved
Would RecommendPretty good quality for a little kid shovel. My son loves that this is a “real” shovel and not a bright colored little kid type shovel. He feels like he’s working as hard as the adults with real equipment. It does a great job for little adult projects as well.
