Would RecommendThe big box competitor didn’t gave much in the way of lamp parts and NONE of what I needed! So I drove further, to Lowe’s, and they had a better supply….not a lot more but enough for my two lamp repairs.

Need wire stripper tool
Would Not RecommendI bought this kit thinking this would be an easy repair for an old lamp. It seemed like it was all ready to go until you get to #6 in the assembly instructions where it states you need to strip 1/4 inch of the insulation from the wire ends. Why? There is bare wire exposed! Well guess what? I don't own a wire stripper. So in my infinite wisdom I tried another tool that I watched my Dad use to strip insulation off of wiring for years. Instead of stripping the wire I cut it off. Imagine my utter d...

Would Not RecommendDespite the claim for high wattage, the manual states this kit is only rated for 60 watts.

You MUST find or keep the original bottle cap !!
Would RecommendGreat product to turn a wine or liqueur bottle into a lamp!! The only complaint is that the supplied cork stoppers do not fit a standard bottle opening diameter. They are all too small except the biggest is too big for the opening. Hence, if you cant find the original or proper cap , you cant use the kit.
