Works well. However, its interior is too narrow to accommodate the 14 gauge wire that I used to attach to the screws, so I had to file down an area inside of it.

Perfect for repairing a broken lamp
Would RecommendJust what I needed to return a broken lamp to use again. Easy to wire the socket into the existing lamp wiring. In like 15 minutes, a broken lamp was back in service!

Would Not RecommendI was able to repair my old pull chain lamp with this part but I had to use half of my old socket because the half of this new one with the female threads was so oversized that there was zero thread engagement between the two halves. Thankfully, the female half of my old lamp socket was still OK and it fit the male half of this socket well, so I was able to complete the repair. Other than that, the build quality seems OK but please be aware that it is not a 250W rated ceramic lamp socket as it's...
