Not for 12/3 wires
Would Not RecommendI didn't realized until I opened the package, but this is designed for a 14/3 wire not a 12/3 wire, so it's too tight to get a cord through the housing. I can't speak to it's functionality, as it was impossible to complete the installation on the cord I needed to repair

Would Not RecommendWould leave zero stars if possible. Followed instructions for stripping lengths and nothing would reach terminals, which fall out at the drop of a hat. Wasted too much time getting 14awg to attach, and then cap would not fit over terminals. Don't buy this garbage.
About time for a redesign
Would Not RecommendIn the age of quick connects, this product is difficult to use. You must have great dexterity to wrap the wires around the terminals and screw them down. The tiny screw to attach the housing is undersized. But, it basically works. Don’t forget the electrical tape.
