What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this repair plug as a practical, cost-effective solution for fixing damaged extension cords, with most completing repairs in under five minutes. Many highlight its durability, sturdy construction, and weatherproof design, particularly valuing the weather-resistant seal for outdoor use. The bright orange color aids visibility in workshops. However, several users report significant assembly challenges, especially when working with thicker or stranded wires larger than 18 AWG. The screw terminals are poorly aligned with the backshell, making wire attachment difficult. Despite these drawbacks, most customers find it worthwhile for thin, solid-core wire repairs.

Extension cord fix
Would RecommendExtension cord fix. I bought this as a spare, and so I haven't used it yet.

Very difficult to install and wire retention for stranded wires is questionable.
Verified Purchaser
Low end and requires extra prep with stranded wire
Would Not RecommendThis type of cord end is difficult to wire securely and ensure leads do not come into contact with one another. Definitely spend more for a better/safer cord end.

Do NOT purchase this product!
Would Not RecommendThis product is total junk. All the reviews on it agree. It is not designed to allow enough room for the wires to fit through and make appropriate contact. Not to mention the pieces fall all over the place when you open it up. I struggled with it for almost an hour before I finally gave up and bought a higher quality product… which I installed in less than 90 seconds. Do yourself a favor and do NOT buy this product!

Works just fine if you know how...
Would RecommendInsert 1/4" of #12 into the contact area and tighten it down. After all three wires are attached, twist the cable and rout the wires thru the little slots on the side. It fits right in.
Only fits 14awg cords.
Would Not RecommendPicked this up expecting it to come apart at the middle like most other plugs that I use, but was surprised when it did not. Was even more surprised when my 12/3AWG cord would not fit in the included hole to make a nice fit. The website and packaging do not indicate anywhere that the plug is only intended for 14/3AWG. The only place that shows that information is on the paper included INSIDE the packaging. So unless you're Clarke Kent, there's no way that you could tell what gauge cord this plug...
Decent Plug
I found this plug to be easy to attach to the 3-wire cord being used. My primary concern about the plug is the absence of any strain relief feature.

difficult assembly
Would Not RecommendMust use the shortest of wire lead due to the small compartment for the plug housing
