5 minutes is what you get.

Great for small repairs where I want to finish it all in a day. Cut the hole, make the repair and then put the setting compound on before lunch. Paint after eating and a nap. Mixes well in the mud pan but you don't have much work time (5 minutes), so butter fast. Sets hard so do your knockdown about 15 minutes after you apply it to you seams or holes.

Weaker than regular prior version...

I've been in this trade for about 11 years and have used and loved the 5 min set because the quick dry up and thought-ness but thus new easy to sand and lite version it feels as weak as spackling and it takes about 10 min to harden, It's sad the old one(regular set) it's going out if production, 'm so disappointed of this new one...

Great for touchups

Mixes easy and is buttery smooth. Dries quickly with just enough time to feather. No bubbles.

Know What Your Are Getting

I ordered this to fix some very large gaps in the drywall in a corner I was redoing. I wanted something that would stay put in the gaps. My first mistake was misreading the label and flipping the ratio of water to compound around. I ended up with far more compound mixed than I needed. When they say quick set, they mean QUICK SET. Within 5 minutes the stuff was so stiff I could no longer work with it.

Great product. Easy to apply and work with

I am taking a shot at remodeling my bathroom myself. The cement board and drywall corner didn’t line up. I added a metal corner bead to line up the corner and used this product to blend the corner. It was easy to work with and sand down once applied. Make in small batches (not the entire bag at once) as this sets as quickly as advertised! I’ve never drywalled before but think this item helped make the project turn out nicely.

It ain’t no better nor worse than any other brand, it is a commodity.

Bag doesn't reseal

The ziploc channel on this bag is so small that the bag doesn't reseal. The manufacturer's ratio of mix to water (about 2:1) leaves the compound too thin. The set time is over 10 minutes. Reality is different than what was advertised on front of the bag.

falls off easy

I bought it b/c of the 5 min to set, but it takes more minutes than 5 , I thought I could use as a final fill of pin holes but it has it's own pin holes and doesn't stay in pin holes well either the instruction say sand with 220 or higher but you're better off rubbing it with your finger b/c it will fall off so easy and will show sanding marks

Perfect in you're in a rush

Doing a bathroom reno and didn’t have a time to wait to paint with conventional compound. Work very well!

Great, easy to install product

I've used this a few times and it hasn't let me down yet. I was using premixed compound, but it didn't set as evenly as this did.

Fast setting and strong

This quick setting did the trick when applying it to the ceiling, with replacing a fan hole and filling in.
