literally the worst

ive spread a few bags of mud in my day. i picked this stuff up the other or of necessity cause i was at Lowe's. i thought to myself, self, this isn't the normal stuff. but what difference does it make? it's mud. mud is mud right? NOPE. this crap is terrible. doesn't matter how i mix it. if you add the right the right amount of water, no amount of mixing will get the lumps out. If you add enough water to beat the lumps out you're left with a soupy mess that runs right off your knife. add some pow...

The best of the hot muds at Lowes.

Compare this to USG's East Sand and you'll never use Easy Sand again. The adhesion is much better for taping with and it goes on much smoother if you finish with it. It sands well. This is the most versatile hot mud on the market. Note the way the different compounds held the paper tape in the test. Some peeled away clean in spots (not good) and others held so well that the tape actually delaminated (perfect adhesion). Quick Set Light is one of the few with perfect adhesion. Impressive product!

45 minute mud

When mixed it applies smooth and easy, dries fast, easy to sand

Quick Set 45

This joint compound was very easy to mix and apply. The drying process was quick, allowing us to paint the same day. We love it!

Must have sheetrock mud

This mud sets in 45 minutes,it is a must when trying to finish job in one day.

Good alternative to the Premix

I was constantly having problems with the 5 gallon buckets going bad (hardening, mold, souring, etc) so I decided to try the powered mix. Glad I did. Use what you need and the rest is good until you need it. The 45 min is plenty of time to apply. The only downside is it is a little harder which makes it a little more effort to sand and mixing in small amounts is an extra effort. Other than that, I'm happy with it.

Always 45

This just seems to be the right amount of time for quick set joint compound. Not too short and not too long. Great stuff!

Sheetrock mud

Easy to use. Not much sanding require and easy cleanup.

I think it’s the best product on the market. Patch, holes, dings, and scratches. It works great for all. Always my first choice. Jay
