Would RecommendThis is a good mulch that holds its color well and doesn't wash in heavy rain. It's shredded well, but there are still remnants of construction wood here and there, so be aware there are likely chemical contaminants from treated wood byproducts. Also be sure to follow up a couple times with a good nitrogen fertilizer as this will deplete the nitrogen from the soil as it breaks down. Overall a good buy when it's on sale for $2 or less and the bags make it easier to haul and place. Regular pricing...
Good price, but you get what you pay for.
Would Not RecommendI bought this on sale, but once I placed a few bags out I remembered why I didn't like this brand last year when I used it. The price is right but I found large pieces of wood in the bags and even rocks, some of them softball size or larger. I'm glad I only bought 10 bags to compare to another brand I bought. If you are on a budget, its ok, but for what you get, it's not really a good deal.
