It comes with a small scooper which makes it very easy to spread, or I use it to refill the smaller shaker-style containers which I prefer to use to spread the product over a large area. We've used Preen for several years in our garden beds and it definitely helps reduce the amount of weeds.

Worth the Money!
I like how easy it is to apply it to my mulch beds before putting new mulch down. One container covered a very large area. Preen really keeps the weeds away all season. I live in a warm, wet area where weeds thrive. It amazes me how rare it is to see a weed in my mulch beds. My entire house is surrounded by mulch beds with shrubs, perennials, and annuals and I also have a large wood line with many shrubs and flowers.
