Would RecommendWorks great. I installed this on an older pit boss which had the non connected legacy board. I had a pork butt catch on fire in the smoker and it definitely ruined the ambient temp probe but I also replaced the board in case. Instant upgrade and it’s so much better using the app to control the grill and monitor the cook. I also appreciate many more temp options thank the analog control board.

Doesn’t work for 700FB1
80014 does not work with my pitboss 700FB1. The website shows that it is compatible, however the manual does not list 700FB1 as compatible. I tested it to make sure and the unit does not power on.

I’ve had 3. All were defective out of the box.
Would Not RecommendI’ve bought this control board twice now. Both times they’ve had problems out of the box. The first one would turn on and immediately shut off. PB sent a replacement ad that one lasted about 3 months before doing the same thing only then I had to try 4-5 times to get it to stay on. It eventually stopped powering on. I quit using my pit boss for 2 months then ordered a new controller again. Got this one in, big surprise, problems. It powers up into standby immediately upon plugging it in, then wh...

You need this upgrade!
Would RecommendEasy to install! Bluetooth & WiFi were easy to setup. Love that you can set it to 5 degree increments instead of 25 degrees like the original. I don’t have to babysit the smoker anymore. I get notifications when it is up to temp and when food reaches the target temperature.

Would RecommendFit my Sportsman 820 perfectly and works even better than I had hoped. The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi along with having all the temp settings at my disposal Rocks! I bought this pit new in April 2021 and it was due for some love. In addition to the control board I also installed a new fire pot and temp probe. She's like a brand new pit and running like a dream. I Love, Love, Love this grill
I bought My Pro series 820 over 5 years ago. I moved to a townhome and needed go with a single unit. I looked at a Trager, but the Trager was expensive. I looked at the Pit boss which was half the price. I will never go back to gas or charcoal. After having it 5 years the control panel Is unreadable. I'm ready to upgrade to a WIFI control panel. The grill has many more years left in her.
