I used this to insulate my bare metal building. It was easy to cut and place between the metal rafters. Cuts down significantly on radiant heat, almost to nothing. I haven’t seen the winter effects yet as winter is coming. I priced the spray foam insulation, and I just didn’t want to deal with the paint prep associated with it. This way I can do sections at a time. Not sure what the price difference would but you’re not comparing apples to apples

Would Not RecommendI was not really impressed with this insulation I had used a foam insulation before that I really liked and thought this was the same kind but it was not this made a hug mess and is hArd to cut evenly or for me it was it may be easier for other people but it was just not working for me and it looked like Christmas morning in my house by the time I was thru so I'm not saying it's not a good product becuz it is thick and I'm sure it does keep walls well insulated but if it has to be altered in any...

Great for pole barns
Would RecommendGreat for price. Did most of my pole barn garage with this. A lil hard to work with on fine cuts when trimming and messy but worth it for value.

Would RecommendThe price is reasonable but the stuff can be very messy to cut. As a first time user, I used a box cutter and a saw and got little beads of styrofoam all over the place. It wasn't until 3/4 through the project that I learn the cleanest way to cut it is with and electric knife or, in my case,. a wooden handled kitchen knife heated up with a propane torch. Live and learn I guess. lol

Would RecommendI bought this for an under-support for cutting 4x8 sheets of stock. Works OK. Thanks Lowes for cutting it down to 4x4 so it would fit in my car.
