Too early to tell
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a hot and dry climate, so re-seeding any earlier would have been futile. I just seeded a few bare areas three days ago. The seed in itself looked healthy and lush. I am hopeful that, come next spring, those areas will fill in with grass.

Easy to spread
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the product to be extremely easy to spread, however. Due to the drought situation in the northeast nothing has sprouted yet, now with degrees hovering around the freezing mark I don't expect any growth until the spring. I started seeing sprouts after about a week, and within two and a half weeks there was noticeable greening across the lawn. Filled in sparsely gown areas great!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have large trees in my yard so many areas get spotty sun. As a result, my lawn grows unevenly and many spots die. I planted the Pennington Sun and Shade seed and it's growing nicely. It seems to be more effective than other brands I've used and since it's for sun and shady areas, my lawn looks more even.

Great Fix for Late-Summer Lawn Spots
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used Pennington Rebels Sun & Shade on our part-shade lawn, which had a few thin, dry patches at the end of summer. The seed took nicely-within about two weeks we saw healthy green growth filling in those spots. It blended well with our existing grass and handled both sun and partial shade areas better than expected. A few patches are still catching up, but overall it gave our lawn a much fresher, thicker look heading into fall.
