All I had to do is throw it out onto the areas needed and water it. Bag says to water it several times a day but we had several days of heavy rains that I didn't need to water it. Helped my grass a lot!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved into a new build in the fall and they had laid sod down however our yard was very very patchy once springtime came. This product was very easy to use as I really don't have much experience. I put it down in the bare spots and was surprised to see how FAST the grasses started to come in. I did rake the seeds in and kept it watered but that's really it. I'm so happy I tried this product!

Scott’s mulch seed not very good.
Would Not RecommendIt doesn’t have enough grass seed in it to grow grass properly. This was the second time we purchased this with no luck. We live in Central Texas so the climate may affect it. However we purchased plain seed and it’s growing very well. Scott’s and Lowes owe me about 80 dollars for wasting my money.

Would Not RecommendI spent hours prepping the bare spots, put garden soil on it afterwards, and another light layer of soil (very light), watered it twice a day with a rainlike spray. Temps were perfect with rain hitting it every day. Not one sprig came up. Wasted $32! And lots of time

Complete waste of money
Would Not RecommendPlease do not spend your hard earned money on this stuff. I paid $28 for a bag of this and 5 weeks later, I am still waiting for the first sign of even a sprout of grass. We have had some great rains too plus it was spring time yet still no grass, zero, nil, nada. Best to just buy some sod.
