my otherhalf purchased the tool set as a gift. 20 seconds into using this saw it stopped and wouldnt start working again. sad because the 20 to 30 seconds it did work it was great just didnt last long enough to do anything.

Cut cut cut

I've had this saw since the PC 20v tools came out and it still smoothly cuts through anything and has no looseness in the cutting shaft. I'm a landscaper and have used it to prune 8" tree limbs, cut out tree roots, and break down pallets. The compact light design makes it very versatile for tricky cuts in tight spaces. better than what I expected

I had a few pieces of old furniture I had to cut up for work, these were old 70s pieces that could not be easily broken apart. It worked perfectly no loss of power for the whole time I used it, easy to handle as well. I look forward to using it again.

One of the best.

This saw has made my career as a Construction Engineer that much easier. Light weight yet strong enough to handle hardwood balloon frame housing.

Safety warning

This is a great little tool. The problem being it is very easy to get your fingers into the action-area. The tool is much shorter than a comparable electric model, so watch your fingers.

I have had a few of these saws over the years including Dewalt,but this saw is by far the best I ever had!It is light weight but very powerful and get very good battery life

Fire Hazard

I bought this because I had the rest of the 20v set and it honestly sucks compared to everything so far. It will only go for maybe 8-9 strokes and then stops, but will slowly go continuously if barely pushing the button, which causes it to smoke. I would give it another shot and buy a new one but dont have the money to afford right now. Cant return or replace item either which sucks..

Not Worth It.

Worked fine the first couple of times, but then became more trouble than it's worth. Owner's manual was no help. Poorly written, difficult to comprehend. Pictures were worthless. I now use my reciprocating saw to prune and cut down trees.

Worst cordless tool in the 20V Porter Cable lineup

I own MANY Porter Cable tools from compressors to the complete 18V cordless set and the 20V cordless tool set. This is the SIXTH reciprocating saw that I have had to purchase as there is a design flaw in a bushing (must be plastic) that has failed on all of them! Very disappointed with them. I use them for general home projects and they don’t hold up! Bra cause I own almost all available tools that take the same batteries I just keep buying new saws. A better bushing would have definitely made ...

Not So Good

Again, I purchased this with confidence. Either the saw is just terrible or all of my 10 batteries are defective. I can’t make it through one side of a pallet before it stops. I never use the blades that come with it and always upgrade to diablo or Bosch demo blades, which are amazing. Never have a different outcome and its always the same problem. The saw works fine on tiny projects.... I really mean tiny. Like it only needs to cut through wood and probably nothing harder than pine to work effe...

Trusted Product very well Built

I purchased saw to assist me in building wooden garden boxes as well minor home remodeling projects. I like the all grip contoured handle and tool free blade release. This Tiger Saw sports a sturdy design and is very compact. I have many Porter Cable tools as my Dad had. I very much trust the Porter Cable Brand.
