Would RecommendI bought the Orbit brand to replace Rainbird brand geared sprinkler heads because the Orbit head were so much easier to adjust the turning range and spray and last longer than Rainbird brand head. I plan to replace all the Rainbird head that the irrigation contractor installed in our 9 zone system with Orbit heads.

Would RecommendThis type of head, overall, is not the best performer for large distance watering. They tend to distribute most of the water in the last 1/2 of the radius. This head is somewhat better than most in its distribution.

Orbit Saturn Gear Drive sprinkler
Would RecommendWhen you need a pattern outside 15', the choices narrow drastically. If anyone works on their own system, they would be lying if they didn't admit that the first thing they want in a sprinkler is good coverage in the area chosen AND an easy way to adjust the head. I have found that the Orbit Saturn gets a check mark in both of those categories. I will continue to use them, as I feel they do the job and are easy to adjust.
