Cost effective, reliable, easy to program. No need to spend $40 or more dollars when this Orbit does the job.

Rainbird is better

To hard to read, hard to set Rainbird is so much better

The timer comes with a mounting template, but the holes didn't match. The first attempt, spent the time to mount and connect all the wiring up to station 4, to find out that zone 4 wire connection had a bad screw and wouldn't clamp the wire. Anything beyond basic single conrtol isn't in the included instructions. An internet search is needed. As the least expensive unit sold, can work. Just plan extra time for the possible trip for an exchange, and don't use the mounting template.

does the job

Simple to program. Able to do any schedule. We have 3 to run things in different areas.

It works really well, not complicated to use. This is our second one, last one lasted six years.

Perfect solution to watering

6 zones, 4 start times, 2 program. Easy to program and intuitive to operate. I use all 6 zones with 2 start times each. Program A set to lawn zones and B set for landscape.

Worthless for most sprinkler pumps.

Although there are 120v sprinkler pimps, most applications in my area are 220v pimps rendering this and all Orbit sprinkler pimps worthless. Further, I do not understand why Orbit does not pit the voltage information on the outside of their box or in the specifications? It would appear that someone is falling down on their job in the orbit company!

No good

I have had this for 3 months and it all ready quit working. I tried to reset and even tried another electrical outlet with no success. Don't waste your money.

Hard to program properly. Programming instructions are not complete, called in to product support -no help there they don't understand the product. Maybe the instructions shouldn't be dumbed down so much, maybe a description of what is happening at the steps.

Not terrible but some flaws

Not too bad but one thing to point out on mine is everytime I turn on manual mode when it’s suppose to end the stations start all over again or turn on twice.

Does the basics fine

Simple 4 station replacement for a 20 year old sprinkler timer that died. Easy to install and program. Would be nice if it had a cover and someplace to label the station numbers. But for the price...well worth it.

Can’t even keep the time right

I had to keep adjusting its time every couple day to keep it right.

Perfect and inexpensive 4-Station Timer + TIP

It does everything I'd expect in a basic 4-station timer. Just pull the battery activator paper out, screw it to your wall, hook up your wires, then go through each knob on the dial sequentially and do your setup. The included paper instructions are simple and complete. TIP: If your all your sprinklers run twice or more, you probably have 2 (or more) start times set for a single program (A or B). Orbit 9 zone timer

Instruction are anything but helpful. Pretty much on your own trying to figure out important settings. Video on settings does not work!!

Stopped working after one season

The device worked fine last year. Now we set it up and does not let the water flow.

worked well for about a year then it just stopped working. since it's cheap it is basically a disposable item.
