Would RecommendBought this for my total master bathroom reno. At first I thought I might need the 6x6" drain but the shower only has a 12 square foot floor so I went with the 4x4" drain. This can handle a lot of water which won't matter in California since the state has unreasonably cut down the maximum GPM for faucets and showers. The cover lifts off for to access the hair catcher cup underneath.

Quality drain, questionable cover plate
Would RecommendOverall mixed reviews. base of product screwed in easily as expected to drain base. however, the drain cover/insert was difficult to remove out of the frame. ended up bending it, even using the hook. was able to get it replaced, but was not expecting this to occur

Difficult to remove top
Would Not RecommendThis drain looks great in my new shower, but the top part is very difficult to remove even with the provided tool. The basket catch is a great idea but is very small and fills up with hair very fast. It is such a chore trying to pull the drain up to get to the basket every month.
