Super bright!

I bought the NiteHowl Mini for my 12lb dog. The necklace is a perfect fit, no cutting required. Different colored lights are very bright and this makes it easy to keep track of the dog when he goes out into the yard when it is dark. I gave it 4 stars because it does not have a blinking option - colors are all static with the exception of the multicolor mode which is a fade in/out rotation thru the colors. Having a flashing/blinking option would make it a great deterrent for avian and coyote pred...

Recharging issues

This LED necklace worked great until it ran out of batteries. It did not hold any charge after trying to recharge it. I’m not sure if this is a common defect. Happy to discuss it with a company representative.

Without this, that pup is like a ninja.

Love the glow, the flash, especially on a dark colored dog at night… best idea in a while.

Fetching colors

I love the gradual changes in the colors. Since the necklace comes in 2 sizes and is adjustable, it's very versatile. I highly recommend it for 4 and 2 legged friends. This has potential use in mixed media projects beyond it's stated purpose.

Cheap internal parts

This is my second one. The first one I bought stopped charging after only having it for 1 month. So, I bought a second one thinking the 1st one was just a fluke, but it did the same thing after just 2 uses! Once it stopped charging properly, you have to jimmy the charger to a certain angle for it to charge, just like an old iphone. But they both ultimately stopped charging. Cheap internal parts

Necklace

I bought a disco select necklace for my pooch a week ago. We got to use it twice and it stopped working. We charged it for 2 hours and still didn't work. I returned it and got another one and the same thing. I will be returning this one as well. This was a very poor quality.

Lights dog up at night

Bulky for a little dog. Very rigid, but it works. We only put it on her when we take her outside. Not something I'd leave on all of the time.

Love it, except for 1 tiny thing...

So I love these things. I live in the city and one of my dogs is black so in the mid-block darkness she'd scare people. I also love the added safety when crossing streets and such, making us just a little more visible. The only problem I've had, though, is that the micro-usb covers aren't secured to the unit, and they are legit, teeny tiny little plugs. Needless to say they were lost within the first couple of days. A feature I would like to see added is a battery level indicator so we aren...

Won’t turn on

Literally just bought this product. Wouldn’t turn on and thought the battery was dead. Charged for three hours and nothing, not even a glimmer of hope!! It sounds like something is missing inside it. Very poor QC and or design.

bright, visible and fun

I was given this as a gift. I did not think at first I would use it much, however,due to heat, I have been walking in the evening. Having seen other evening walkers with illumination collars, etc, I realized how effective these are for safety. I started using it and feel so much safer and visible. Besides that, the rotating colors are just plain fun! I call it my dogs "Grateful Dead" collar! People get a kick out of that. In addition, when I let my dog loose, I can see where she is in the night!...

My ONLY complaint...

My ONLY complaint is that there's no way to SECURE the collar (to keep it from easily pulling apart/falling apart). It would be great if you would create a version that does stay joined. (I've had to buy numerous replacements for the lost ones.) Otherwise, I give this product 5++ stars!

very good except for one thing:

the recharging light comes on as RED. 24 hours later it's STILL RED. is it done recharging? or is it supposed to turn green when it's fully recharged? How are we supposed to know if it's "done" recharging or not? No instructions on your website to explain. Otherwise, this is a great product.

There are several features I love about this product! 1 - you can easily cut the NiteHowl Mini Rechargeable LED Safety Necklace - Disc-O-Select to the appropriate size for your dog. 2 - it's rechargeable. 3 - you can choose from a variety of settings. 4 - I love the Worry Free Guarantee (I've never had to use it but I love knowing the company stands by it's products). 5 - it's lightweight so dogs don't even know they are wearing it. 6 - I can wear it to amusement parks! I'm a dog trainer...

Keep your receipt...you'll need it.

It worked for 1 day, then stopped turning on. In theory, it should be a good product, sturdy, few moving parts; however, it no longer turns on. Would not buy again.

How to charge it?

I bought this about a couple of months back and worked fantastic, however, its time to charge it, so i plug it with a miscrousb to charge it, i left it there about 2 hours, and when i try to turn it on, nothing happens,so, how would i know its fully charged? odes it has to be powered on to charge Thanks! i love these products!

Party time for pooch.

Got this for a dog who I walk off leash. Before sunrise and early morning, it’s hard to keep track of her, and this makes it easy to know where she’s at all the time. Also helps make her more visible to motorists. The disco mode is best for visibility. I would like a flashing light mode, but I wonder if that would be distressing to the dog.
