Worth the money if you can't live w/o LED light

I was looking to convert my mag light from regular bulb to LED because I really prefer LED light because it is brighter and the batteries last longer. This got the job done rather simply. It's a rather expensive bulb, but it's cheaper than buying a new flashlight.

Converted not so bright light to bright

Used this product to convert an Hatachi light from a not so bright incandescent bulb to this LED bulb. The light came with an Hatchi Drill and Driver set (12-Volt peak-10-Volt run). I always thought the light brightness was wimpy, so I bought this LED to convert it to a super bright light.

led bulb for mag lite

upgraded my 2 d cell mag lite with a led bulb. output is excellent....recommended

Turned flashlight to "like new"

Used it to replace a bulb on an old military style flashlight. New bulb made it much brighter and like new.

Was hoping for more out of a led maglite but for the price a fair up grade

Maglite LED conversion

Easy to install, just like replacing the bulb. I had hoped for a little more light but it is definitely an improvement over the standard bulb. We'll see how long it lasts and about battery life. Haven't used it much yet.

Efficient Incandescent bulb replacement

this is an excellent replacement for the inefficient incandescent bulb since it lasts longer, uses less energy and does not expend 90% of the light in heat form

Works fine, but not what is pictured here

This is one of many Nite Ize products I have purchased, but mine was to convert a two cell C or D flashlight to an LED (not three little LEDs for AA Mini Maglite) as pictured. Easy to change bulbs, works fine, significantly increased the flashlights brightness by two to three times as much light. I see no downside to this product if you are looking to convert an older Maglite like I was and increase its brightness.

LED Upgrade for Maglite

I purchased this as an upgrade for my 20 yr + Maglite. It was super easy to install. The thing about LEDs is that even with almost dead batteries, the light is bright. My only wish is that the bulb was brighter. It was only 70 lumens. Comparatively, I could have bought a brand new flashlight with much more lumens for about the price I paid for this bulb. Price was high. Overall I'm satisfied. We'll see what the next 20 years brings.

Fair replacement

This is only a fair replacement bulb for a MagLite. Because of it's design (and perhaps the limitations of a LED) it does not work well with the adjustable focus of the flashlight. Nice and bright, but a little expensive for what you get.

Much brighter and batteries last much longer...

Than with a filament bulb. Though the price is as much as just buying a whole new decent LED flashlight. Be aware that Maglite brand flashlights don't fit standard PR flange bulbs like this, they require a slightly different base that only fits their brand. Also the photo is wrong, this is a flange bulb not a mini maglite bulb as shown.

Didn't work for me

This did not fit my Maglite. Also, no instructions were packed with the LED. The "important information" packed with the bulb was only a list of NiteIze products.

LED Maglite replacement bulb

Best part - it fits properly. Worst part - it's very expensive for such a tiny little bulb. If it never breaks and makes my batteries last longer (a lot longer), I'd increase the value rating, but right now, I don't have a large enough sample size. The light is whiter than the original bulb. I've always noticed flashlights with LED's to diffuse faster or at a shorter distance than light from regular bulbs. They just don't seem to focus as well. While I don't have the old bulb to compare against ...
