Ninja specialty coffee maker

i dislike this coffee maker very much! I've tried 2 different machines and both have same problems. water leaks from holding tank. machine requires cleaning every 3 uses or it won't operate at all. and stay warm feature SUCKS! only stays on for 20 minutes. as if I'm only having coffee for 20 minutes.. GARBAGE

Love it! Terrific coffee

Pros: multiple coffee flavor settings multiple size settings, removable water container. That’s dishwasher safe, makes terrific coffee with the enclosed metal filter, so no more paper filters Cons: I would a couple reviews and people complained that after a while all of the water wasn’t coming out of the water container and that’s what’s happening to mine.

Black floating plastic

I had to stop using mine because every cup has black plastic floating in it. I'm sure that is toxic and not for human consumption. Unfortunately this pot is now an exclusive unless space taker.

Quit Brewing

My husband bought this for me less than 2 years ago and we cleaned it routinely. It will run the clean cycle perfectly fine but won't brew a cup of coffee. We bought another one for a wedding gift and theirs quit working the exact same way.

Don’t waste your money

This coffee maker stopped working after a year and a half of use. After talking to multiple employees, Ninjas only solution was to buy a new one. Don’t waste your money and buy from another company that stands behind their product!

Water water everywhere.

Water easily pours out of unit between water reservoir and base anytime the unti is slightly tilted or moved. Brew basket drip stop design does not stop drips. Excessive condensation and steam when brewing. Cabinets, top of unit, brew basket, and Carafe wet after brewing.

I love this!

I love this coffee maker! My only regret is not getting the bigger one! I stopped drinking coffee for awhile because our old coffee pot just wasn't cutting it but this one changed it all! I love making iced coffee or regular and having multiple settings to choose from. My only complaint is I cant get it to stop leaking about the coffee filter area! ☹️ so if anyone has recommendations on that, please let me know! If I didn't have that problem it would be a 5 star review.

Great when it worked

I bought this 16 months ago. I was happy I could adjust how much coffee I made. I love alone, so I usually used the half a pot or the travel mug on the days I worked. The rich brew setting was nice for iced coffee. The brother worked wonderfully. BUT, then IT STOPPED BREWING yesterday. The coffee maker will start the brew and then stop after 30-60 seconds. Great except for the carafe

I purchased the model CM401 last year and have been struggling to be able to clean the carafe. Once you remove the brew through lid insert the neck opening is so small you can’t put your hand in to be able to clean the inside of the carafe.

Easy to operate

I love my coffee pot and all it’s options. I froth my creamer daily now because it makes my coffee that much more delicious.

Waste of money

I bought this a year ago and now you can’t even brew a pot of coffee with it. I’ve cleaned it a dozen times and it constantly stops and says it needs cleaned. I could have bought several other coffee pots and replaced them multiple times for the price of this crap. Goes to show ninja/sharks quality.

Easy to use!!

I wanted a coffee machine that was easy to use and clean. I love all the features and no more pouring water from the top, just fill the water from the tap.

I finally had to replace my original coffee bar that I absolutely loved. I had it for at least 10 years and the cleaning cycle went out and then about 6 months after that the whole thing quit working. I replaced it with this and have not been thrilled. Lasts a year- nothing but issues

I wish I focused in on the reviews that did not include 'reviewers who recieved a free gift'- like many others on here, the machine worked great for maybe a year, now the cleaning light comes on every few days. We clean it religiously with vinegar, making my whole house smell like vinegar, and the light pops on again within a few days. CM401 buyer beware

I see that Nínja is still selling this product and I can't imagine why. There are several reviews stating the same issue I have with mine so there must be a problem with the manufacturing. Loved this coffee maker when it worked but honestly how can Ninja keep selling the CM401 knowing this product is faulty? Good in theory…

This product seems like everything you could ever want in a coffee maker. The first week we had it everything worked like a dream. But now, anytime we brew a pot of coffee all of the grounds come with it. We have tried all the hacks. We’re using the right sized filters. We’ve tried wetting the filter. Nightmare machine.

Had it for six months. Leaks out the bottom every time you brew. Finally the drip stop light just remained on now matter what you did and I just couldn’t use it anymore. Back to Mr. Coffee.

This is my second ninja coffee maker. I only got this one because it would make a full pot of coffee, in addition to the single cups. I love it. I’ve had it for over 2 years now and I use it every day with no issues at all.

I was given my ninja coffee bar as a birthday gift. Unfortunately I got the "5 beeps of death" I keep reading about with little brew in the pot.
