Just what I needed

I am switching from copper to pex and did not want to dig up the yard, so I added this to the copper in the basement. It was easy to install once i got the corrosion off the copper. Overall it works well for my needs

Be careful when buying

 Would Recommend

I ordered two online, and when I received them, one had a small dent (flat spot) which I did not see until I got home. Lowes made the exchange easy enough, but for items like this (copper fittings in general) , you need to inspect them before buying. (I didn't this time and had to make another trip.) They are not packaged for protection, so they can be easily deformed if dropped or handled roughly. If it's out of round and doesn't fit properly, it will leak. I always lightly sand the mating...
