They work!

Would give 5 star but the 2 (only 2) cheap plastic covers to drive spikes in are absolutely worthless. One or 2 strokes with anything and they shatter. Either improve the caps, or provide enough to do the job.

Only Came with Nine

The product says 12 on the package but only had 9 (same for both packages I bought). It also did not come with the plastic cap that’s pictured on the package.

Second time using this product

I bought this product quite a few years ago used as directed and it almost killed every one of my evergreens they slowly recovered many years later and recently I decided to try the product again and when I did following the directions even cutting the spikes in half to reduce the amount of fertilizer I install the half spikes at the drip line as directed roughly 2 feet or more from the roots one on each side of each tree and probably within two or three days every Evergreen I did this too is de...

Work great

Use these several times each year and they work great!

Very effective

Tree spikes are an effective and long-lasting way to fertilize trees. A little pricey but they work. To the people who are confounded by the process of using tree spikes, please just use a long screwdriver or spike to make a rough hole first. Stop trying to pound these into hard ground and complaining that they don't work.

Simple way to fertilize evergreens

Box has stakes with a plastic cap to protect when driving into the ground. The size of tree determines how many you use.

I was disappointed when I opened the box to learn that the products expiration date was 12/2014!!!!!!

They simply work

Can't say much except that we've been using these for years on our Arborvitae and they look great.

I have used this product many times and it is easy to use. I find that the plants do very well with this product.

These spikes and accompanying plastic caps did not get the job done. Not a single spike went into the ground without disintegrating. I had to dig a hole to use each one - perhaps my expectations were too high, so I waited until after a rain softened the earth and also tried several different hammers (style, material, etc.) with no success. I will try a different product before going back to these.

Very good product.

I have used this product to save some "Charlie Brown" trees. The product is not magical. It will not work over night. You will begin to see results fairly quickly (3 to 6 months) depending on the health of the tree. The more sick the tree, the longer for results. I add a spike about every 2 years. My trees are now very healthy.

Easy to Use

Product is very easy to use! Just pound the spike into the ground and let it feed your evergreens! Not sure on quality yet because the evergreens look the same. But I'm sure the fertilizer will help them to look great over the next year.
