bad batch?

not sure if I did something wrong or the product was bad but the consistency was way too think to use

Great for projects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been great for a wood finish. It has a strong smell at first but once dried it is not so bad. Packaging is like a paint can so for small project it’s perfect with out having to poor out. Pretty decently priced for the amount and lasted so far.

Worked decently, but might try something else

Advertised as one coat, 1-hour before handling, 24-hours before full use. Directions also say not to rework an area and just brush once. That can be very tricky to do as sometimes you can't see where it is covering and where it isn't. I did multiple coats and sanded lightly in between. I'm satisfied with the outcome. I ended up finishing with a foam roller instead of a brush. I've used the regular (non-Max) version of this and I think it works just as well. Maybe save your money and get that ins...

Easy to Use, Easy Clean-up!

Easy-to-use gloss for cabinets.

I'm using it to brighten up my kitchen and fireplace by adding a layer of gloss to my light wood cabinets and mantle. The smell wasn't bad either, which I love how they smell anyway. I'm also a photographer with a studio, and I'm going to purchase more of this to use on a flooring mat for photoshoots. Oh, and this kind is good for light colored wood. Great value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has exceeded my expectations by far, it is very easy to apply and leaves a glass like finishing coat to whatever surface you choose to use it on, just be sure not to mix it or shake it after receiving or buying, doesn't have an overly strong fumy smell to it but does have some of a fumy smell, just make sure to have the area well ventilated, the packaging I have no complaints about whatsoever either. Smooth top coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an easy to use product that gets good results. It was quick drying. Within minutes. It applies easily with a brush. Has a smooth finish. There is a slight odor but not overwhelming. Would recommend this for any do it yourself projects.

It dries very quickly and leaves a nice shine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received this product completely free from Influenster. It is a very easy product to apply, but you must keep in mind that it dries very quickly and it is better to put the right amount of product so that there are no imperfections. It does not leave a bad smell like other products and gives a very beautiful shiny finish to the wood, also as it dries so quickly you do not have the need to wait for hours or put it in the sun to dry.

Horrible to use

Horrible to apply. Goes on too think, dries too quickly so it can’t be reworked, shows EVERY brush stroke, coagulates in low areas then perks off. I’ve used a lot of products and this is one of the worst. Stick with the regular polyacrylic - it is a much better product.

Thicker than original

Thicker than original. It was easy to get decent coverage with 2 coats but left brush strokes and high spots. Dried too fast ( 3 min) to the point that the brush couldn’t wipe off excess. Very hard and durable, can build coats fast but it will look like crap if brushing on. Impossible to get a smooth gloss finish. Use the original instead.

Easy to apply, smooth finish

Clear and smooth, durable finish does not leave any marks. Fast drying in about 1 hour. Easy to apply. No strong odors, therefore perfect for indoor use.

Easy to use top coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Minwax Polycrylic Max clear protection is great! I recently redid my coffee table and used this for my top coat. The smell isn’t bad at all, its glides on easy, and dried faster than I expected. I highly recommend this product!

Durable and easy to use

We have used this brand, as well as many others before, but this one seems to stand out from the crowd. When using this final top coat on hard wood floors, it is super easy to use! Quick drying with nice finish
