Safer!

I bought this after a large tornado devastated a town very close to mine and it arrived on a day we were under tornado watches. I was able to stay weather aware the whole day and night while many more tornados touched down in neighboring towns.

I received it on Thursday and really needed it the next Thursday. It really let me know when I needed to get out of the house.

Disappointed

I purchased this replaced an older other brand. Easy to program. I like to get warning from surrounding counties. Can’t use this feature as your warning alarm is so loud it wakes up the entire house. It should be the volume like radio alerts. If i would have known it was that loud I wouldn’t bought it. Im all for warning sound this is to much. Wasted my money as can’t wake up family asoften as it can go off some nights

Wr120 weather radio

The wr120 weather radio is a great radio to stay informed with the conditions n storms

Just randomly beeps every mont

Just recently it seems this units just beeps and all the lights light up on it for no reason. I have to power it off then back on. Anyone know why this is happening? Had a bad storm roll through in June and it did not even warn us.

Easy to use

This replaced my old radio from about ten years ago. I am very impressed with how easy is to use. I also like being able to customize which alerts I receive.

Early warning is better than no warning!

I got this weather radio for my weather radio collection to start, and I have not been disappointed. It has a 2 second delay for the siren, but it still works! It has a battery backup, and it is lightweight enough to be portable. This radio is better than the wr-100, and we know how much of a piece of junk that was.

Easy set up

I bought this radio and while the set up was VERY easy, as soon as I found a place in the house that picked up a signal, as soon as it was plugged in, STATIC. I called customer service and they sent me a new radio. Obviously this is a known problem. Still getting static but not as bad.

The only channel I can receive on this weather radio is from the wrong county and that is fuzzy. We are in a mountainous area, so that's probably normal. I have not tried an antenna yet.

Crystal clear! Easy to setup and use!

Probably the best thing is its clarity! No static! Simple to setup and use with no frills. Didn’t need a radio, just a weather station. Very happy with this model because it is exactly what we needed snd wanted.

GREAT WX RADIO

My first Midland radio was a life saver! It lasted 12 years. My new WR120 is working perfect I know it will last another 12 years Five Star for sure. Living in Texas it is a comfort to have!

Love the Owner's Manual

We have owned a WR-100 Alert Radio for several years. It has worked well but over time the manual and the ability to use it have disappeared. It has not worked since Covit 19 struck. As a "honey do" I tried to reactivate it. Found the Owner's Manual on line in the fastest search I ever did. Being old school I printed it. Great except for the new style power adapter

I bought one of these for the upstairs of my home mI s in my rec room I decided to get one for down there. The type of power adapter has changed, and the new one causes a ton of interference when plugged in. I took the cord that came with the old one and plugged it into the new one, and no issues. So either I received a defective cable or the RFI shielding on these new cables is quite inadequate.

Easy Setup

The basic NOAA weather radio model is easy to set up out of the box; intuitive controls and easy-to-use menu system lets you select your county easily. Reception is a little spotty around my house but I plan to add an external antenna. My one critique is that I wish the antenna input jack was a coaxial cable input rather than an RCA-type connector; I'll have to get an adapter to use an antenna.

What an awesome little radio!

I bought this as a Father's day gift, and I have to say this radio is awesome! He lives in a very fire and flood prone area, so having the alerts 24/7 is a life saving feature. I think there should be one in every household!
