MXT 500 N. Carolina Mountains
Would RecommendI'm a long time user of Midland GMRS radios. We use these in the Western mountains of N. Carolina where cell phone connections are sketchy.. Primarily we communicate between our truck, base unit, and Polaris side by side. This unit is replacing our older less powered MXT 400 and hoping the additional range will be really noticeable. Another big win for this radio in the inclusion of the weather bands which were absent on the 400s.. will update post once we get it up and running.

Easy to install
Would RecommendInstall is really straight forward, I wish that a fuse adapter to plug into an empty fuse spot would be included. That is very nit picking though.

Would RecommendMxt500 radio by Midland is a easy to use radio that will satisfy the user with good range and ease of use. Have ran mine as a mobile and base and it has been dependable in the mountainous area that I live in. Output signal is measuring @ 49 watts. Thanks Midland!

Good product easy to use

I use this to stay in touch with both my kids as they are walking to/from school.
