Fine if you want to buy a new one every other year

Works great for a year then the valves won't shutoff and water continually runs out and you can't get the valves to close.

Issue with controller

purchased two after about a year. Time of day resets to midnight and doesn't go off. Melnor did replace, but having same issue.

Died within a year. Do not purchase.

I bought this unit last year. It worked fine for me through most of its first year, then the display quite. After replacing the batteries with no luck, I noticed it was full of moisture. I hoped opening it up (I removed the housing screws and separated the unit) would allow it to dry out and maybe work this spring. It did not. Way too expensive for a one-season timer. Buy something else...useless junk after a very short useful life.

Melnor 4 station Digital Hose End Timer

I purchased 2 of these in spring of 19 and used them throughout the spring/summer/fall seasons. Very easy to set, very logical which was nice as I lost the instructions and has to change some of the settings part way through the year. After following the instructions on closing valves that were open upon delivery, everything worked well throughout the year. I did not remove them in the winter (live in a fairly mild climate) and found that they are working fine in spring of 20. I have no complain...

After 1 Year, leaking within valve housing

Purchased Spring, 2019. Worked fine all Sring/Summer/Fall... all valves... both automatically and manually. Removed for winter, 2019 and stored in heated garage. Went to re-install for Spring, 2020 and 4 valve unit began leaking within mechanism, despite attempting to open/close all valves... again, both automatically and manually.

New Lawn Success Story

put it simply I've spent the last four years trying to turn my lawn into something great. I finally hired a company to kill off the grass and power seed the effortless care with this digital timer make sure that the new grass came in extremely green thick full and perfect. Finally since buying the house I have a lawn worthy of the property.

Program Defect

2nd Year in service and currently still working. Main defect, or user interface problem is when you turn on manual run all zones, They all turn on at once pressure falls equals dribbles at sprinklers. Does not run program, by zone, which is idiot mistake.

Doesn't last

Mine didn't last the whole season, these aren't built to last. The positive reviews for this product are likely from those who've only just bought it. It is really cool for those first few months, but this isn't reliable.

Water timet

Great devise if you need to water multiple places when you are away

Time Saver!!

Awesome!!! We originally thought it was broken because one of the ports just spat water. But then we read the paperwork that came with it and it explained that was normal and how to fix it. Originally we fixed it with a hand sprayer. Lol LOVE this thing!

Nice addition to our small grow house and aviary

I bought this timer for dual use. Two zones are for a mini sprinkler system for my wife's orchids. The other 2 zones are to water plants in our pigeon aviary and to provide fresh water for them every day. The only criticism I have is that it is hard to program. At least it is hard until you work with it a while to understand the instructions.

Great product. Was a lot easier to use then what I had thought. Very simple to program and works great.

bought this to keep my grass from dying in the summer heat. It works well the only negative is it the directions are a little hard to understand but once you get it set up it works great

Had to return as number 2 would not shut off, hence valve 3 and 4 could not operate

4 Ports and Easy-to-Use Manual Mode

I've had this timer for about 4 weeks now, and so far I have been very happy with it. It was easy to program; the removable controller makes it very easy to program, particularly when hoses are already connected to the ports. I also liked the easy-to-use manual mode, where you can turn each port on and off manually with a turn of its respective knob. one outlet won't close

read the manual, put the port on and off manual 14 times. still stuck open. they upgraded this model to a different one this spring. hopefully that one works better. I do have two of these and only one has the port closing issue.
