works great, dries good even on medium heat, never have put it on high heat, just don't buy the matching washer that's designed to fail

good except for lint screen!

One of the best things about the dryer, and the main reason I selected it, is that it was the only dryer with its door opening downward. This allows it to be a platform for clothing, so it won't fall onto the floor. I reviewed this for Maytag with photos showing how it's impossible to get all the lint out of the VENT SLOT BELOW DOOR! Lint sticks to both sides of the screen, not just the side close to the drying clothing, and LINT ACCUMULATES BELOW THE SLOT! A friend has a different Maytag she...

Bought this 2 years ago , and it caught on fire today. Thank goodness , I was able to get it outside before it ruined my house.

Junk

Maytag is now the same junk you can buy anywhere else. Warranty is useless. Will never buy another new appliance.

I DONT RECOMMEND MAYTAG TOO MANY PROBLEMS

I keep seeing all these recent good reviews about this dryer I’ve had this dryer for 3 years and it’s BEEN A HEADACHE. It’s just 4 of us and I’ve replaced so many parts it keeps going bad. Every 6 months it seems something goes wrong. Now it’s not even turning on. Just 3 months ago I had to replace the heating since it didn’t get hot and let me tell you wasn’t the first time I replaced it. I honestly REGRET getting a Maytag. I will stick with WHIRLPOOL. Never had this amount of issues.

Great dryer

The electronic panel takes a little getting get used to since my last dryer was 15 years old! You come along way in 15 years! Lovin' all the new features! My favorite is the display that tells you how many minutes left and the ding that tells you that you have 60 seconds left and another two dings when the drum actually stops! Also the hamper door is super nice!

Modern Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer on reputation alone. The dryer is modern with plenty of room for clothes. I love the features and the dryer gets very hot. The drum light is very useful and the electronic controls are easy to understand. I love that the filter is big enough to catch all of the lint. The dryer is very loud while the drum is turning, this could be a defect that goes away, but this is a first. I have had a few dryers, never this sound.

Broke right after warrenty

Heating coil went out. Right after warrenty expired. Had it 1year and 3 months... spent a grand.

Bought this about 6 weeks ago and had it professionally installed. Love the large capacity. Very quiet. I look forward to wash day so I can use this awesome dryer! 😁

Very pleased

We are very pleased with our new dryer, also I love this different settings and the sensor button for timing much improved Maytag than I previously had which was 14 years old so I always go to Maytag for my washer dryer combo dryer also has white inside and a deep tub. I know if you try it you will like it.

Rethink purchasing this Dryer

Our dryer was purchased less than 30 days ago. Service technician just left our home. Dryer will need 2 parts to remedy the noise it is making. This kind of quality is unacceptable. Our last Maytag dryer was almost 11 years old so we thought we would go with another one. It was obviously the wrong choice.

Easy and Straight Forward to Use

Fingers crossed for Reliability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my Whirlpool because of the great reliability reviews from Consumer Reports and elsewhere. The controls are easy to decipher after reading the manual. Bulky items like comforters may need more than one cycle to fully dry. I do like that the door opens from the bottom, which makes it convenient to unload and fold clothes. One gripe I do have about it is that the metal seems flimsy and bows if I lean against it ...
