Would RecommendUsed this to verify a lot survey. It gives repeatable results and is sturdy enough. Don't let the tiny wheel dissuade your purchase; it has almost no resistance and it spins freely over grass and loose leaves. Only time it didn't spin was when a twig got stuck in the spokes of the wheel. In my opinion, where I surveyed, a larger wheel would have gotten more tangled up with twigs and fallen branches. Just be careful in the cold
Would RecommendThe plastic handle connector joint on mine snapped in half in 28° weather. Other than that it's great for my job which requires a lot of travel. Packs easily. I tested the accuracy of the measurement of it at 100' before using it and it is accurate. I'll buy another as a replacement for it, I'll just be more careful with it now that I know the plastic joints are fragile.
