Protect you from you

20 years of frying turkeys (still have my original one at home) visit family and they picked this up to use. Company run by the GOV ( I must protect you cause your to dumb)? The burner shuts off at 350 so you can't raise temp to 400 and drop a turkey in that brings oil to 350 then hold stead..... It drops to 250 before you can start the fryer back up.... Trash bin and will let people aware of this trash product.

Bummer

Put mine together on thanksgiving. Auto light wouldn’t work. Thermostat was set for 300 degrees instead of 350. No adjustment on thermostat that I found. Had to cook my turkey way longer than I should have had it reached temperature.

pot and accessories are great. temp control fails

overall a well made product. the one flaw is the SmartTemp control. it shut mine off at 310 degrees. I had to duct tape the igniter valve to use it. I'll definitely be using my other burner next time.

Done with Loco

I'm convinced their products are only meant to last a few uses. It was fine for Thanksgiving and Christmas the first year after purchase in 2018. The next year it almost caught on fire because of dozens of tiny pinholes in the pot. Now this year the flame keeps going out. had to rig a block to keep ignition plunger pushed in. I will find another brand before Christmas and throw this piece of junk in the trash.

Only worked twice now won't stay lit.

It worked great two times. Now it will not stay lit. Each time you light it and let go of the safety switch for the thermocoupler, the flame goes out.

Let the Buyer Beware

Great "budget" deal (only in theory) from Lowe's, but let the buyer beware. Poor design/build quality. Purchased it to fry a turkey. Worked as advertised the first time, and only time (so now cannot return it!). Several times later, the flame would not stay lit, after closely following the instructions. Trash

I bought this and my first two cooks got a very unclean burn that resulted in a ton of soot. The air intake adjustment is covered so that it is impossible to adjust without taking it apart. In addition the auto shutoff "safety" is very annoying. The slightest touch of the wire and it will turn off the burner.

Grey / black soot in pot

What is the grey/black soot in the pot and on the metal? It looks like paint or scratched off aluminum dust? I opened it brand new and saw a layer, so I washed it out with water and sponge 3-4 times. Still had it. Then tried some dawn soap and still couldn't get rid of it. Don't want to use it and feed my family metal/paint with their turkey.

Very pleased with purchase

We purchased 2 of the 80 qt. cookers for an event, delivered quickly and very pleased with the craftsmanship. There was an issue with one of the burner ports, contacted customer service and the issue was taken care of in 1 day. We cook several times a year for medium size groups, We will be change all of our cookers over to Loco. Will by again and again.

LOCO turkey fryer

I purchased my turkey fryer at Lowe's brought it home and used it to steam up some crabs that I caught the burner would burn bright orange which means not enough air with the vent wide-open and deposited black soot all over the bottom of the pot. the pot is very thin aluminum everything about this unit is cheap it was on sale for $39 now I know why

Poor quality

This thing is cheap and flimsy. I cut my hand all the way down to the bone trying to put it together on the sharp edges. The rack that the pots its on is unlevel so the pot leans while it's cooking. The only thing I can say about this cooker is that it does hold the temperature very well while you are cooking. Other than that there's no reason to buy it.

Could have killed our family on thanksgiving

As soon as we put the fryer together & turned it on we went in to get the oil for it & thank God my brother looked before pouring the oil in the bottom had completely melted which could have caused a major explosion with loss of life.

Best fryer on the market

I have been frying turkeys for a long time and always get annoyed with keeping it lit and making sure it’s stable on the burner to avoid burning my house down. Bought a LOCO this year and it was incredible! It took a few minutes to put together but it was worth every second. They kept the safety features (will shut off it it gets too hot or the propane tank moves) without making it impossible to keep lit. Both turkeys I cooked came out on time and delicious. worked great as long as it stayed lit.

i had to clamp down the red bypass valve on the bottom. It would run for about 5 min and shut off. turkey came out great but had to put a clamp on the starter bypass to keep the gas going. i would not recommend anyone do what i did.

Worst turkey fryer ever

Would love to give less than one star. Won’t stay hot. The overheating smart control guard keeps turning it off before the oil even gets to 325 degrees. Total piece of crap. DO NOT BUY!

Poor product

Doesn’t heat up. Takes forever to heat oil to 350 a hour in 85deg weather. Once you drop your product in temp plummeted and you will just , oil boil your food.. worked well to boil water and lobster. But I wouldn’t even try a full turkey. Useless as fryer

Smart cooker temp control LIT ON FIRE.

Used this burner for the first time after someone purchased it for me. The temp control box smoked and lit on fire with the gas around 25 percent. Why would you put non heat-resistant plastic next to a gas burner. Terrible build and design. Do yourself a favor and buy a quality burner with out "smart temp controls".

Turkey fryer

We went online to order a turkey fryer. We found one on clearance. We placed the order so we could pick it up. We got an email when Lowe's confirmed the order, when it was placed in pick up. We walked right in and got it. I was very impressed. Before I got out of the parking lot I received a thank you for my purchase. This was a fantastic transaction!
