Protect you from you

20 years of frying turkeys (still have my original one at home) visit family and they picked this up to use. Company run by the GOV ( I must protect you cause your to dumb)? The burner shuts off at 350 so you can't raise temp to 400 and drop a turkey in that brings oil to 350 then hold stead..... It drops to 250 before you can start the fryer back up.... Trash bin and will let people aware of this trash product.

Bummer

Put mine together on thanksgiving. Auto light wouldn’t work. Thermostat was set for 300 degrees instead of 350. No adjustment on thermostat that I found. Had to cook my turkey way longer than I should have had it reached temperature.

pot and accessories are great. temp control fails

overall a well made product. the one flaw is the SmartTemp control. it shut mine off at 310 degrees. I had to duct tape the igniter valve to use it. I'll definitely be using my other burner next time.

Done with Loco

I'm convinced their products are only meant to last a few uses. It was fine for Thanksgiving and Christmas the first year after purchase in 2018. The next year it almost caught on fire because of dozens of tiny pinholes in the pot. Now this year the flame keeps going out. had to rig a block to keep ignition plunger pushed in. I will find another brand before Christmas and throw this piece of junk in the trash.

first wont stay lit then they sent a oring worked 2 times they the igniter wire burnt no customer service have wrote no one will answer phone just a piece of garbage would give company and product -5 star if i could

Only worked twice now won't stay lit.

It worked great two times. Now it will not stay lit. Each time you light it and let go of the safety switch for the thermocoupler, the flame goes out.

Let the Buyer Beware

Great "budget" deal (only in theory) from Lowe's, but let the buyer beware. Poor design/build quality. Purchased it to fry a turkey. Worked as advertised the first time, and only time (so now cannot return it!). Several times later, the flame would not stay lit, after closely following the instructions. Ruined family cookout events. Grandpa's "swearing fine" jar is overflowing!! Save your money and your frustration. Buy another brand and bump up to the highest quality level model you ca...

Trash

I bought this and my first two cooks got a very unclean burn that resulted in a ton of soot. The air intake adjustment is covered so that it is impossible to adjust without taking it apart. In addition the auto shutoff "safety" is very annoying. The slightest touch of the wire and it will turn off the burner.

Grey / black soot in pot

What is the grey/black soot in the pot and on the metal? It looks like paint or scratched off aluminum dust? I opened it brand new and saw a layer, so I washed it out with water and sponge 3-4 times. Still had it. Then tried some dawn soap and still couldn't get rid of it. Don't want to use it and feed my family metal/paint with their turkey.

Very pleased with purchase

We purchased 2 of the 80 qt. cookers for an event, delivered quickly and very pleased with the craftsmanship. There was an issue with one of the burner ports, contacted customer service and the issue was taken care of in 1 day. We cook several times a year for medium size groups, We will be change all of our cookers over to Loco. Will by again and again.
