What Customers Are Saying
Customers report mixed results, with most praising effectiveness against cats in flower beds and patios, noting immediate deterrence and consistent success when reapplied after rain. However, many find it ineffective on dogs, which often ignore or are attracted to the product. The strong, persistent odor is polarizing—some view it as proof of potency while others find it overwhelming. Reapplication every one to two weeks is widely accepted as necessary maintenance. Despite some reporting no effect, most customers consider it worthwhile for cat deterrence.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The smell of the product is very strong and bad. I won’t use it again because of the smell. It did keep the stray cats out of my porch, pontoon, and garden. I just don’t like the smell.

Not an actual liquid fence if what looking for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I misunderstood what this was actually for when I agreed to this product because of the name being liquid fence. I was hoping for a product that would deter my cats from leaving my yard and going into the street not from marking. I've never actually seen them mark and don't have other cats or dogs that come into my yard. I don't really know if this works or not, actually. It has a strong smell that eventually fades.

Invisible fence
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It says what it does! It has a smell….i can really describe it.. once it dries you can’t smell it but if the area gets wet you can smell it again. Then again once it dries the smell goes away. So you know it’s there. I used it on a back corner that my doggie loved to poo in for some reason, now poop free!!!! I spayed it every week… (which I think is too much) thinking that maybe it went away but I think once a month is good. It’s like re-traini...

So far so good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to work well, we’ve noticed a lot less barking from our dog chasing cats in the fence line. The smell is not completely offensive, but I wouldn’t say it smells good. It’s easy to apply on areas where cats frequent in our yard. It stores easy and hopefully keeps working for a while!

Great repellant
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very excited to find something to keep my dog from peeing on my plants. The fact that it is safe for both pets and my plants makes it the perfect product to use. The nozzle can either spray in a steam or mist over what you want to spray.

It’s effective… on humans too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, this stuff seems to work. My cat hates it and so he refuses to go into the garden. Can’t say the same for other cats as I’ve only observed my cat’s aversion to the product. As for me…. Whew this stuff is strong. When I received the box, I placed it in my garage and soon my garage began to stink of Liquid Fence. Thankfully the smell subsided, I chalked it up to residue on the box. However, now that I have applied it outside, I can smel...

POTENT & gets job done
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow. This stuff is POTENT. You do have to reapply so the size of the bottle is nice for reapplication. Seems to effectively do its job around our garden to keep cats out.

Wear gloves and old clothes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to call this nasal warfare in a bottle. It has a scent of garlic and something I just can't place but will leave you coughing from the scent. I used disposable gloves and a pair of old clothes to spray it as I honestly didn't want to get any on me. It does seem to work as I no longer have stray cats using my flower beds as litter boxes and the occasional stray dog. It does need to be reapplied every time it rains and for good measu...

Dogs will not go where they shouldn’t be with this
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow did this spray work! My dog stopped peeing in the same spot and ruining my grass. The only thing is it really does have a pungent smell! My dog took one sniff and went a different way.

Simple and useful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love the idea of this product. It is easy to use with simple storage. The smell is strong and a good stray cat deterrent but isn’t unpleasant to the human nose. With the spray feature you can put it exactly where you want making it last longer preventing unintentional waste. The only downfall is that rain washes it away, so it has to be reapplied but otherwise great.

Effective at Keeping Pets Away
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Dog & Cat Repellent works well, but the smell is definitely strong. It has a heavy, garlic-type scent at first, so you'll notice it right away after spraying. The good thing is it actually keeps dogs and cats away, especially from spots where they usually mark. Easy to use and ready to spray, ingregients doesn't seem to harm the plants. The size is big-32oz, can last for a long time so you don't need to re-buy often. The odor fades after a...

Goodbye, troublemaking cats! 🐈⬛
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sprayed, from the convenient bottle, over the top of the backyard fence to prevent cats from teasing my dogs, it took just one squirt and was quickly dried and the effect has lasted more than I expected.

Smells Terrible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scent is very strong and almost caused me not to use. Bottle was easy to use. Sprayed around the flower bed and front door. Liquid seemed to dry quickly and no residue left behind. No harsh chemicals that would hurt the animals or flowers. No animal foot prints seen since using.

Get you some
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely would recommend if you have problems with random animals especially cats roaming in your yard.. there wasn’t any odor luckily so it was very pleasant to use. The coverage was as much as you spray so if you continuously spray then you should be good. I would say to reapply once a week to make sure its effective.

So far it repeled the cats
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the @liquidfence Dog and Cat repellent spray through @influenster. I had a cat that would lay on our patio furniture. Wife has severe allergies to cats. I sprayed it on our wooden fence and near the furniture. It’s been 3 days now! I haven’t seen the cat. I sure hope this is the solution to removing these strays from coming back. One thing to keep in mind. When first sprayed, it releases a fowl scent. My guess, this is the scent that...

Liquid fence
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Liquid fence cat and dog repellent. Was easy to use and spray where I wanted it to be. The smell of it was noticeable when unwrapping the plastic off the bottle and while spraying and kind of strong. Seemed to work pretty great at keeping cats and dogs away from the areas I sprayed.

Semi strong smell that lingers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the liquid fence dog and cat repellent and had a good first impression. The bottle is sturdy, easy to use, and sprays smoothly without leaking or spilling. Application was also simple and covered the area easily. The only downside is the smell- it’s pretty strong, it lingers, and has a garlic-like scent that can be a little overwhelming at first. I’m using it to keep animals from coming on to my lawn, so I’m hoping it works ...

A lawn saver for new sod!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had new sod put down and was panicking about my dog ruining it. I picked this up hoping for a miracle and it has been a game changer. If you have a dog that can't keep off your new grass this is a must have! It's a humane way to set boundaries without harsh chemicals. Highly recommend!
