I posted a review after purchasing 2 LifeStraw water bottles (22 oz) for a trip abroad. One worked perfectly and the other not so much. It was impossible to get water through the straw on one. I emailed LifeStraw because I really didn't have time to return the bottle and get something else. LifeStraw told me to take the filter out and remove the carbon filter at the top. Soak the filter only for 1 hour in a mixture of 4 tbls. of coconut milk and 2 cups of water. Rinse everything well and replace...

It won't work.
I placd the Lifestraw filter on my Nalgen bottle and tried to drink from it. It does not admit air into the bottle to permit water to come out. No amount of sucking works. I am very disappointed.

Need to replace filter much sooner than expected. From every 4000L to every 100L.
I was excited to purchase the Lifestraw 1L GO. Bought two. Fast delivery and products received were not damaged. Read the specs of the product. It states clearly that the micro filter is good for 4000L. However, they failed to mention that the carbon filter is only good for 100L. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bottle. I used it when I went to Mexico City so I didn't have to buy water and waste single use plastic bottles. My friends thought I was crazy for drinking tap water, but I never got sick! It was also good for the airport since each airport has different tasting water fountains and possibly not as clean as I would like. Problem was, hard to suck any water out and it leaks. If I had it in my backpack bottle holder, and later it down maybe 1/4 of it would leak out making my things wet. Just needs a redesign and it would be better, might stick with my Brita bottle for now. I need a good bottle for travel to have clean water but instead I end up buying bottles in hopes I’ll be good on that front.

Life Saver
