Perfect solution for not wanting to deal with a ke

Great door lock!

We have this installed on the door that leads into our house in our garage. It's much easier to give people the door code than the hand out keys to everyone. We have had it almost a year with no problems.

Easy to use and nice esthetics

The Kwikset Smartcode Lever is a great product. It is easy to install and use. I have a couple issues with it that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. The mechanism failed about a year ago, so I had to get it replaced. Fortunately KwikSet sent me a replacement unit at no charge. no longer need to hide a key outside

I purchased one of these a few years ago. I needed the lever type handle because I was having trouble with my hands, and I was tired of having to hide a key outdoors for when I locked myself out. A few months later I moved; took the first one with me to install in the next house, and purchased a second one for the second door. I'm now in the third house; both work really well, and rekeying them so they have the same key and have the same code in them is very easy.

I bought these for my bedroom, was a breeze installing them. i love technology so these were a must for me.

Perfect when you don't want to carry keys

I bought this Kwikset 6 month ago and now I will change the others external doors also. Very simple to install when you follow the instructions. Easy to operate, and always locked as it locks automaticly after a couple of second you open the door, so don't need to think if it's locked or not, IT'S ALWAYS LOCKED! You can have different codes and delete the one you want in the case for example you fired your maid. You don't loose your keys as you don't need to use them, or can give them to someone...

Great Features for the Money!

This keypad lockset is wonderful for landlords. I no longer have to change locks or have them re-keyed...just erase the old code and put in a new one. Very pleased.

3 years and still performing very well.

We have this model installed on the entrance door to the garage to the house and it has been performing very nicely.

Best lock purchase ever

We bought this several months ago for our inside garage door, I did not want to mess with a key everytime we parked in the garage, we now have a secure locked door that gets locked everytime we leave the garage. Plan on adding one on the backdoor as well

Short lifetime

I bought this lock so my children could let themselves in without the need to carry a key. It worked well but not for long. The lock was less than 2 years old but only has a one year warranty. The price of the product for time it was useable make it a poor value.

Handy little gizmo !!

I have had this item for about 8 years now and it has never failed !! Best of all, we no longer have to replace the kids lost keys or have to worry if they locked the door behind them, this locks automaticly.

malfunction

I purchased this item one year ago and the following problems began to occur. The electronics would attempt to disengage the lock and it would hang up. Then the locking cylinder would not turn with the key. I removed the cylinder to see if that was the problem, it wasn't. The electronics work flawlessly, however the mechanical interface is flawed. Works good

Installed these when we had our front door and side doors replaced. Been approximately six months. The one on side door started acting erraticly. Would open some times and not others. I changed code and it is functioning properly again. I know have installed these electronic locks on three doors, and plan on changing all to them eventually. Very convenient. Just don't forget the code.

Works with the IRIS System

I'm a big fan of the IRIS system. This door lock works flawlessly. I don't need to carry house keys anymore. I can unlock the door using my iPhone. I have the IRIS Key Fob attached to my system and it will automatically unlock the door when I arrive home. The biggest issue I have is with the design of the back cover.
