What took me so long...

I've had this SmartCode Lever for a year now. It has solved all our problems with convenience and locked doors. I have it set to automatically lock after a minute so we never have to worry if the entry door to the garage is locked. No more keys to worry about either. When we have guests staying with us a separate code lets them come & go as they please. I don't believe that it took me so long to replace the old style lock and key entry lever with this SmartCode Lever. It's been in use a year now...

Works great!

Seems to be well built and works well. Our only complaints are the battery life and since it is installed below our existing deadbolt, the deadbolt has to be removed to allow the battery pack to slide up and out every time the batteries need changed.

I purchased this lock set a couple months ago...the installation was a breeze and the operation of the lock is flawless....didn't need to drill any new holes in the door.

Works Great

I bought this lock over a year ago. And it has worked without problems the whole time. Only had to replace the batteries once. Over all one of the best bangs for the buck you can get in a smart lock. Good job Kwikset!

Easy instillation, great features

I have had the Kwikset SmartCode lever lock sets for over a year now. The best feature is not having to hunt for you key when your hands are full, just punch in your code and your in. (all so you can't lock yourself out) I have them on my home and a large detached garage. You can set them up for more than one code giving someone access to your garage but not your home, while family members can open both with there code.

Good product

I bought this lock 3 years ago and it worked great until recently when something broke inside causing the electronic part to not work all of the time. I called the company and explained the problem. The customer service representative was very helpful and immediately sent a new lock at no charge to me. I like the auto lock feature but wish there was a simpler way to shut it off temporariy when using the door a lot in a short period of time. Now the cover has to be removed to switch it on and off...

Great features, poor mechanical quality

I bought this more than two years ago. The keypad works great, we love the functionality, and the electronics have held up, however, mechanical durability is poor. I have had to replace the exterior portion of the lock twice. The locking mechanism wears and eventually it becomes impossible to turn the center tab to either lock or unlock, either by hand or using the electronic motor. Peace of Mind!

I installed the lock in 1/2 hour and it synced beautifully with my Wink hub. I love to be able to see the door at my work is locked or unlocked.

Just what I needed

I installed this handset about 9 months ago. It was moderately difficult to install, but the instructions were good. Since that time, I have changed the batteries and reset the settings. It will now auto lock 30 seconds after opening, which means I never forget to lock it again. Very dependable. Great finish.

Great lock

I recently moved into a new house and wanted to upgrade the locks. I installed this lock on the door between the garage and laundry room. I really like the lever for opening the door when carrying groceries in or when opening the door. Also like being able to push the lock button to verify I locked the door on the way out.

Ease of use is excellent!

I've had this model since 2012. I wanted to be able to automatically lock the door to the garage behind children and adults without having to remember everytime. My son who was 4 at the time I purchased the Smarcode got the hang of it easily. This coded lock adds lots of security while not having to carry your keys everywhere. This was a Great purchase.....so nice to not have to pull out our keys...just punch in the code and VOILA !!!

Excellent Lock!

I replaced a competitor's lock with this Kwikset Lever Lock and couldn't be happier. The competitor lock would continually drop its code and cause problems. The Kwikset has quality fit and finish, easy installation, has been trouble free after 8 months, and the lever is a much better option than the round ball on the competitor lock. I should have bought the Kwikset first and saved some headaches!

Love This!

I love my SmartCode Lever handle. I do not have a key for my car and i was tired of digging in my purse for my house key. This allows me to be key free. It is great at night with the lighted key pad and for my family and friends to come into my house with out giving out keys.

Looks Good

Nice locks, key pad has a tendency to turn and then the lock is crooked on the door. Also the connection between lock halves is a real pain, too short.

I bought this Kwikset SmartCode Lever product over 2 years ago. It is used several times a day and is as dependable today as it was the first time we used it.

A very good product!

I purchased this product to secure an extension to my shop about 3 years ago. The lock set was very easy to install and worked straight out of the box, no problems at all and I am still on the original set of batteries! I also purchased an electronic deadbolt for the main shop at the same time because of the 'smart key' feature so in case of battery failure one key opens all. Overall I am very pleased with these products.

Easy to install, works flawlessly, looks good, don't need keys

Not happy

Bought this less than a year ago and lock sticks and will not unlock with key pad. Have to work to even get to unlock with key.
